DT Serum, Primary Testing In Progress

Paul and Sam both went up to brush their teeth. They came back down a couple minutes later, both ready to go.

True headed out, keeping both engaged as best as possible as they headed for the school, keeping them occupied as best he could. When they reached the school, he said, "Come give me a hug, Paul, and be the best you you can be today!"

Paul laughed and gave True a hug, and happily promised before he ran off to find Ariel before class. Sam smiled a little. "He's always so happy..." He said admirably.

"Someday he'll lose those rosy glasses. I hope far far later than sooner," True said quietly. "Come on, let's get to the lab and see if Dr Ally can say a whole sentence before we have to go."

Sam nodded and walked with True. He handed True the folder. "I found this on dad's desk this morning." He explained. "I, uh, saw that you recognized the name Proditor yesterday when Ally was talking to you, and thought it may mean something to you?"

True glanced at the folder but didn't take it. "Yeah, it means a lot to me. In a way. It doesn't matter, I don't think. Should you be snooping in your dad's desk?"

"I-It was on top, and the light was on in his office. He... he always turned the light off when he was done with something. He... he was writing notes too." Sam slowed to a stop, a bit scared. "True? Is... is what his notes say true? Are you... are you Dr. Proditor's son?"

True's chair coasted to a stop. He sat staring dead ahead, face expressionless. "He gave the biological half to begin my life, yeah. I don't think of him as my father."

Sam was quiet a long time before he asked tentatively. "Do... who do you think of as your father then, if not... him?"

"For a long time, no one. Lately, kind of your dad, a little," True admitted.

Sam nodded and started to walk again, having accepted that answer for now. "I... I don't want to lose him. I can't. Not him too."

True glanced at him. "Sam... I can't promise you anything I can't make come true, but I will promise you this. Whatever happens, whatever comes, I will stay. I will do everything I can to bring your dad back for you."

Sam looked down. "Th.... thank you." He said solemnly. He missed his dad awfully, but he was comforted that at least True promised to stay with him and Paul.

"Can you get the door for me, Sam?" True asked, nodding to the door.

Sam nodded and opened it for him. Once downstairs, Dr. Ally immediately asked in her stutter if there was any word on Gaster.

"Not yet," True sighed, shaking his head. "Can I get my dose, please? And could you look after Sam? I'm going to the police station to see what's up."

"Oh, uh, o-o-okay." Dr. Ally said, getting True's dose ready. She had to ask for his weight again to make sure she gave him the correct number of pills.

True patiently answered, making certain Sam was settled in while he waited.

Dr. Ally handed True his pills. Sam had sat down and was reading his book, although it was clear his mind was only half there, and none of his heart.

True sighed and backed up, heading to the station. They had to find him!

The police station was all abuzz when True got there. The police seemed to be dealing with new evidence, and the DNA scan was almost back. A receptionist asked how they can help True.

"I called last night about a missing person," True said. "Please, I got two young boys waiting for their father."

The receptionist's face faltered. "Oh.., Dr. Gaster, was it? Yes, we found out something. Let me tell the police chief you're here." After a moment, True was called back to the police chief's office to hear the news.

True's heart turned to ice. Numbly, he wheeled himself back and angled himself in between the chairs. "What happened?" he asked bluntly.

The police chief sighed. "We found a car this morning that appears to have hit a human shaped object at high speeds with blood on the front of it. Forensics have confirmed that it is Dr. Gaster's blood on the car."
