DT Serum, Primary Testing In Progress

(Okay, because now I remember why I hate rping someone with a stutter, please just use your imagination for her stutter this post please lol)

Dr. Ally hesitated before she decided to tell him, since she was pretty certain Gaster wouldn't. "The DT Project was originally the brainchild of Gaster and the scientist before me, Dr. Abraham Proditor. The two were actually good friends, and came up with the basics for the serum. Well, shortly after the project was started, Dr. Gaster and Dr. Proditor got in an argument over the serum and its applications and how it should be tested, and when Gaster refused and stood his ground, Dr. Proditor attacked him and nearly took out one of Gaster's eyes. But don't worry too much about Proditor. He was put on trail, found guilty, got his ability to work as a doctor revoked, and sent to prison."

True's face went pale then red then a strange color then went ashen as she finished her story. He didn't say a word. Quietly, he backed up and turned away, wheeling down the hall. He needed to think.

Ally got a bit nervous, thinking she said something wrong. She whined a little before just quietly returning to her work.

True didn't pay attention to where he was going. He just went. His father... And the doctor.... NO! It couldn't be!

However, it was. The timing lined up painfully well, and it explained Gaster's bizarre reaction to hearing True's real name the night before.

Once he'd caught his bearings, True headed back to the lab and inside. "You'd better show up soon so I can yell at you, Doc," he grumbled before going to find Sam. Until Gaster decided to show up, he'd keep an eye on the boys.

When True came in, Sam tried to wipe his eyes before he could tell the boy had been crying, although his eyes were still red and puffy. "H-hey, True."

True set his break and held out his arms. "Come here, Sam," he said quietly.

Sam hesitated a moment before crawling into True's lap and clinging to him. He hugged True close. "True, what if something bad happened to dad?" He asked in a small, scared voice.

True hugged Sam tightly. "IF something bad happened, then we'll help him. I promise. If he's not here in couple hours, we'll go looking for him."

Sam gave True a tiny nod. He was still scared. His dad was late a lot, but he had always did his best to be there in the mornings for him and Paul, and if he wasn't there, he was here at the lab. For Gaster to be at neither scared Sam a lot.

True patted his back gently. "I'll be right here, okay? We'll find him. He'll be alright."

Sam gave him another tiny nod. "I... I don't think we should tell Paul dad is missing. I don't want him to get scared and worried too."

"That's a good idea," True agreed. "We'll tell him if we need to, not before. Now, let's get that homework done, and if he hasn't dragged his sorry backside in here for us both to scold by then, we'll go hunt him down to yell at him. Deal?"

Sam wiped his eyes again and nodded. He crawled off of True's lap and went back to reading his Anatomy book.

True kept an eye on the clock, helping Sam as best he could, focusing on not acting as anxious as he really felt.

The hours passed. Sam got done with his work and went to Dr. Ally to grade it for him. Gaster still did not show.

Finally, True said, "Okay. Sam, get your stuff, we're going out to look for him." True made sure he had his bag then turned his chair around. "Hey, Dr. Ally, we're heading out, hold down the fort."

"Oh, uh, o-okay." The scientist stammered. Sam got his jacket and followed True. He had stopped crying, but still seemed downcast.

True had Sam talk to him and tell him everywhere his father might have gone, and they went to check each spot. What else could they do?

The list of places was short, and Gaster was in none of them. It was like the good doctor had simply vanished. Sam whimpered and got more worried and scared.

"Okay," True said tiredly, "we've checked everywhere, and we skipped lunch. Let's go pick up Paul and get some food. Then I'll call the police and see if they can help."

Sam nodded and followed behind True. He looked as if he had a huge and terrible weight on his shoulders that he couldn't get rid of. In his mind, if dad was gone, he had to step up and take care of Paul.

True glanced down at Sam and stopped a short distance away from the school. Putting a hand on Sam's shoulder, he said softly, "Hey. Look at me, Sam. You're not alone. I'm here. I'll take care of you both. I promise."

Sam wiped his eyes. "Promise?" He asked in a hollow and desperate voice.
