DT Serum, Primary Testing In Progress

Ashton tried to stop laughing and tried to feed Night again to see if that was what the kitten wanted. "Lex, you are maniacal."

Night eagerly latched on, trying to wrap his paws around the syringe.
"What are you talking about?" Lex asked in his normal voice.

Ashton gave Lex a mild look, but there was a teasing light in his eyes. "You know what."

"I know your kitten complains very loudly," Lex said.

"Sounds a bit like you actually." Ashton teased with a grin. "You can complain pretty loudly."

"Yep.  Like where's my food?" Lex grumbled.

"At the table where you can come eat like a civilized person!" True called from the table.

Ashton smiled. "And there's your answer. Unless you wanted me to feed you like I do Night, ya big baby." He teased.

"You're a baby," Lex grumbled, heaving himself off the couch.  He stumbled to the kitchen and flopped into a seat.  "What's up for today?"

"School for Paul, and then Sam and Shuni are coming with me to the lab to hang out." Gaster said. "True is staying home, but I do not mind if you wanted to come with to the lab or stay here." He told Lex.

"Here," Lex said without a second of hesitation.  He'd never go back to the lab if he could avoid it.
"Cool.  You can help me with the song," True smiled.

Gaster nodded. "Although if you ever wanted or needed, there is a gym and a pool at the lab you are free to use." He offered to Lex.

Ashton seemed a bit curious, although the fact it was at the lab deterred him. Ashton actually never learned how to swim.

"Thanks.  I'll think about it," Lex said carefully.  He had changed a little in the time he'd spent here.  Mostly, he tried not to be outright mean.  Just round about so.

"Can I go to the gym today after seeing Ally and Geena?" Shuni asked.

Gaster nodded. "Of course. Just make sure Sam is with you, okay? If you use the lifting machines, it is good to always have someone else with you."

Shuni nodded.  "Okay!  You'll come with me, Sam?"

Sam smiled and nodded. "Of course I will."

Gaster gathered up the dishes (minus Lex and Ashton's, since they came later than everyone else for breakfast) and cleaned them while Sam and Paul got ready for their days.

Shuni cheered and hurried to help clean up.  She scrambled to get ready then stood waiting for the others.

"A walk to school is like a holiday around here," Lex grumbled.
"You're just jealous," True grinned.  "You should go sometime."

"It's a chance to get out of the house and enjoy the day." Gaster said. he came in to wipe down the table. "I think that is why it is enjoyed, as well as being a consistent activity."

"I'll pass today.  Someone's got to put him to bed in a minute," Lex said, jerking a thumb at True. 
"Ha ha," True grumbled.

Gaster nodded. "Then I also have a task for you and Ashton, Lex. Please figure out how you want the attic set up for you two. I know you've scoped it out already, but where do you want walls and windows."

Lex turned to look at him.  "We get windows?  We can pick where to put them?"

Gaster nodded. "Up to four of them." He said. "Possibly more depending on how you spread them out."

Lex stared at him then grinned.  "Put them where we can see out.  That's all I ask.  It's been years since I had a window I could look out.  Warehouses put them up high."  He got up and cleaned off his place.  "Ashton!"

Ashton looked over at Lex. "What?!"

"Bring your mini demon, we're going to the attic with a couple of brooms!" he yelled back.

True shook his head.  "Aren't you putting me in bed first?"

Gaster chuckled. "I can do that if you want." He told True.

Ashton nodded. He found a basket to carry Night in, and wrapped the kitten in a worn shirt of his and the blanket before he went to the attic.
