DT Serum, Primary Testing In Progress

Paul beamed. "Okay!" He and Gaster walked to school before Gaster went to the diner Ginna worked at for coffee.

Ashton nodded a little. He hoped it worked too. "Shall i start patrolling 4th from the shadows?" He offered.

True rolled inside and went to check on Sam.  Shuni was napping in his room, a smile on his face.

Geena was busy with another table when Gaster walked in, but there was room at the bar in her section.

"Yeah.  Get going.  I'm going to be around Lexinton," the red head said, heading for the door.  "Collect a couple Shadows to watch with you.  No one goes anywhere alone, pass the word, not even you."

Sam was resting for now, a pile of used tissues in the trashcan next to his bed.

Gaster sat down in the bar area and patiently waited for Geena to get to him.

Ashton nodded and grabbed three more guys. He gave them strict orders to watch but not be seen or heard, and to travel in pairs. If they saw anything, report back to Ashton, and to take these orders as if they came from Lex himself.

True grinned when he saw the cat draped over Sam's shoulders.  Good cat.

Geena smiled when she saw him.  "Good morning!  No posse this time?"

There was a mewing at True's feet as his fluffy little kitten rubbed against his chair wheel, wanting attention.

Gaster laughed some. "Nope. Just me this time, Geena. Have you had a good morning so far?"

"Hello, sweetheart," True grinned, leaning over to scoop her up.  "How was your night?"

"It's a beautiful day!  Not that I've seen much of it," Geena laughed good-naturedly.  "What can I get you?"

The kitten purred and rubbed her head against his hand. She was fluffy and soft and clearly happy to see him. She plopped down happily on his lap and tried to lick one of True's hands.

Gaster smiled. "Oh, whatever coffee you think a guy like me deserves." He asked politely. "When do you get off, out of curiosity?"

"I think I might call you Puppy," True said, amused as the kitten licked his hand.  "Do you like the salt or something?"

"Later today," Geena said evasively, getting him a cup.  After working in low-brow establishments as long as she had, she knew better then to tell a stranger when she got off or anything at all about her schedule.  "Do you prefer decaf or regular?"

The kitten just tried to lick him. She purred happily, but didn't seem doglike in any way but her licking.

"Either or is fine, thank you." Gaster said with a smile. Maybe he was being too forward...

"Maybe... Fluffy Purry Heater, or Pillow," True chuckled, petting her with his other hand, letting her lick one.

Geena poured him a cup, lowering and raising the pot in a showy fashion then offered him sugar, cream, and milk.

The kitten was very happy, and kneaded her small paws on the seat of his chair. Yes, this was a very, very good person.

Gaster smiled and thanked her, just putting a little cream in it, but otherwise drinking it black. "Mm. This is a very good blend." He complimented.

True shook his head, amused, and went to his room to work until his father got home to yell at him.

"Thanks, I encouraged the owner to get it," Geena chuckled, wiping down the bar.  "The rest of the food can be crap, but you can down anything with a good cup of coffee, yeah?"

The kitten stubbornly stayed on True's lap. She wasn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Gaster chuckled and smiled as he sipped some more coffee. "Yes, that is very true. What makes it an even better cup though is good food and better company."

"Can I get you any of that good food or are you content with coffee?" Geena asked with an amused smile.

Gaster chuckled. "What would you recommend from the breakfast menu?" He asked.

"The pancakes and sausage are the best," she replied.  "Or there's the biscuits and gravy."

Gaster thought a moment. "May I please have the biscuits and gravy?" He asked with a smile.

"Coming right up!"  She sauntered toward the kitchen to place the order.  Geena had to admit, this guy wasn't so bad.  Then again, she'd thought that before and it had turned out to be a big mistake.  Then again again this guy had four sweet kids.  One was even in a wheelchair.  How bad could he be?

Gaster patiently waited and thought. He strummed his fingers against his coffee mug unknowingly, his nervous tick going off again. He liked Geena a lot already. She was kind and had a nice smile. He just was terrified of being too brash and scaring her off.

Geena moved around Gaster, smiling and talking happily to everyone she served.  When Gaster's order was ready, she brought it to him and delivered with a flourish.  "Here we are! Need anything else, honey?"

Gaster smiles as he watched her. "No, I think that's all for now, thank you." He tried a bite of the food.

"Let me know if you need anything!"  Geena swept off, smiling pleasantly at a new group of people.  She was tired from long hours at work, but she didn't let that affect her job.

Gaster so wanted to use a smooth line and ask her on a date then and there, but the shy scientist just smiled and nodded. He kept half an eye on her and made sure her customers weren't rude to her.

Eventually Geena came by and presented him with the check.  "Be sure to tell those lovely boys of yours hello for me, if they remember their waitress," she said with a wink.

Gaster smiled and nodded, thanking her. He paid and left her a thirty percent tip before he headed home, whistling.
