DT Serum, Primary Testing In Progress

Gaster added butter and some parm cheese to the potatoes as he mashed them. When that was almost done, he flipped the steaks and finished mashing the potatoes. "Shuni, will you please set the table?"

"Yes!"  Shuni eagerly set to work and set the table exactly like it had been set at the last meal.  He was good at that kind of thing.

After everything was ready, Gaster went to True's room to gauge if he should wake his eldest son to join them for dinner or not.

True hadn't moved.  Not even a twitch.  His face was mostly pressed into his pillow as he snored softly since his nose was squished.

Gaster decided to let True sleep, and keep a plate of dinner in the fridge for him when he woke up. He returned to the kitchen and did just that. "True is asleep, and I am not going to wake him right now." He told the boys.

"Is True okay?" Shuni asked, frowning.  "He doesn't want not wood steaks?"

"True was pretty tired, and he is sleepy deeply and soundly." Gaster explained. "Other than being tired, I believe he is fine, so I am going to save some dinner for him when he wakes up." He said as he served everyone else before preparing a plate to chill for True.

"Okay!" Shuni said, satisfied.  He carefully removed Mama from the table and set her down.  "No tables, Mama."

Gaster sat back down to eat with Sam, Paul, and Shuni. "Who knows. Maybe tomorrow we will go back to the diner with Geena in it."

Shuni brightened.  "I like her.  She is nice."  He poked at the meat then watched Sam and Paul.  Ah, that's how you cut it.  He was a little clumsy at first but soon picked it up.

Gaster was pleased with how quickly Shuni was learning mannerism through mimicry. "She is a very nice woman." Gaster agreed as he ate.

"Are you going to have her live here with us?" Shuni asked innocently.

Gaster's face got red. "Well, um, with Geena, it's quite a bit more complicated than that, Shuni."

"Why?  You like her.  You taked in me and True because you liked us," Shuni said, not seeing the difference.  "You and her would stay in your room, yes?"

Gaster's face got redder. "It's different because she is a woman, and she has a home and probably a family already." He tried to explain.

"Oh.  I thought you would bring her home," Shuni said disappointedly.  He returned to his meal, and his disappointment was soon forgotten in tasty meat and potatoes!

Gaster's face remained red as he finished his meal. He gathered up and washed the dishes, just thinking.

Shuni helped then watched Gaster worriedly.  "Do you have a fever, Doctor Dad?"

Gaster shook his head. "No, just thinking is all." He tried to control his blushing.

"Okay."  Shuni helped finish cleaning up then wandered off.  He wanted to ask Paul what a Lynx looked like.

Lynx wanted to snuggle.  He didn't care what Sam was doing, he wanted to go along and see.

Paul was playing with Bitty Kitty in his room. Paul laughed and smiled. He always had a blast with the small kitten.

Sam was packing a backpack. He didn't know what exactly to pack, so he did his best. He wanted to find the Shadow!

Lynx watched and when Sam's back was turned, crawled into the backpack and wormed his way under a couple things.  All hid!

Sam found a flashlight and stuck it in. He thought a couple of moments before pocketing a twenty and then slipping into the kitchen and grabbing a few bagels.

Lynx lay still in the hoodie, enjoying the rocking motion.  He moved around a little to get the thing to stop poking his head then still, dozing off.

Lex walked along the rooftops of 3rd slowly.  He stuck to the shadows, watching the world below.  He wondered idly where Ashton was and how he was doing.  Should he have asked Ashton to check in more often?  No, then there'd be a greater chance of getting caught.  At least his migraine was just a minor headache behind one eyeball, now.

Sam teleported a few blocks away from the edge of Lex's territory before he walked in deeper and deeper. The kid watched the shadowy alleys closely, and ventured in them once he felt brave enough. He took out his flashlight to help him look.
