DT Serum, Primary Testing In Progress

True helped himself to a small slice, handing one to Kat.  "Where'd everyone else get off to?"

Kat shrugged and thanked him for the cake, but True soon got at least a partial answer when Sam and Paul came up to him and told him good night. His little brothers were going to bed.

"Good night, you two. Dream sweet dreams, okahy?" True said, hugging them both.

They both smiled. "You too, True!" Paul said happily. He and Sam scampered off to bed. Kat smiled after they left. "They're lucky to have you as a big brother, and I think they know it too."

"Not as lucky as I a to have them as little brothers," True said with a soft smile. "I'd do anything to make those kids smile."

"Well, it seems just your presence makes Paul at least smile." Kat said thoughtfully. "And if you can purely just exist and make people happy, isn't that good?"

True grinned and nodded. "Yeah, I'm thinking so. Like you. Your existence iis pretty awesome."

Kat smiled and blushed. "Well, you make more than just your brothers happy by being around. I'm pretty sure your dad thinks so. I know you make me happy just being around me."

"I fel like I'm happiness in a box," True chuckled. He paused then asked, "Do you want to go to see the carosal?"

Kat smiled. "I assume you don't mean the one in your room?" She joked.

"No, no," True chuckled.  "That one is gorgeous, but I was thinking perhaps one slightly larger."

Kat smiled. "Okay." She agreed. Kat offered to get the door for True.

True accepted with thanks and wheeled out.  He moved along at an easy pace, enjoying the cool night air.  It wasn't dark yet, though it would be soon, and the night felt peaceful.

Kat smiled and walked beside him after they were out the door. "Once your room is soundproofed, do you have any plans on what you're going to record first?" She asked curiously.

"Once I've practiced a bit to be sure I know what I'm doing, I'd like the first official recording to be our song," True smiled.

Kat smiled happily. "I'd like that, except I can't bring my piano there." She said, before she thought aloud. "Although I could always do some basic instrumental accompaniment through a program and overlay it onto the recording if you wanted."

"You have a good point," True admitted.  "Would that work?"

Kat smiled. "All I would need is some time and the program. If you wanted, you could even play two different tunes with the guitar and I can layer them."

"Now that would be pretty epic," True agreed, grinning.  He turned down the road leading to the alley and smiled at Kat.  "Thank you."

Kat smiled. "It's no problem. You're my friend, and I am seriously looking forward to collabing together more."

"Me too," True smiled, rolling to a stop, watching the darkness ahead of them. "It should come on at any time."

Kat waited with him. As it neared closer to the time, Kat got an idea and tentatively reached and held True's hand.

True started at the touch, not expecting it, but he didn't pull away, even closing his hand around hers.  The lights came on then, lighting up the darkness with their cheery light.

Kat smiled happily and watched the carousel. She was glad True thought her worthy enough to bring her here to watch with him. She felt a bit hopeful as she watched the trinkling lights and dancing horses with True.

"What are you thinking?" True asked, his voice soft.  He didn't want to ruin the moment, but he loved listening to her voice.
