DT Serum, Primary Testing In Progress

Shuni tugged gently on his arm.  "Please?  I'll sit next to you.  Please?"

Ashton looked at Lex, on the fence now. "Hey Lex?" He asked. "Should I run my errands now and eat later, or do them after eating dinner with everyone?" Ashton hoped Lex would understand what he was really asking.

"Eat with the family," Lex said firmly.  This was their place now.  If Geena didn't like what they did in their place, she could bloody well get out herself!

Ashton nodded. He always felt confident in Lex's choices and guidance.

Gaster returned with Sam, who smiled and waved when he saw Geena. He was carrying the "brains" of his robot in a box, which he took to the garage.

"Hello, Sam, how was your brainstorming session?" Geena asked, smiling.

"Awesome!" Sam said with a smile. "Ally helped me fix a bug so the arm moves smoother on my robot."

"Really?  That's wonderful!" Geena told him, clapping slightly.  "Your dad said I could stay for dinner.  Perhaps, if there's time, you could show me?"

Sam smiled and nodded. "Lex? Could you please come too, and help me make sure there's no problems with the new coding?" He asked. Sam figured out by now that Lex was really good at figuring that kind of thing out, along with mechanical bugs.

"Sure, I can do that," Lex agreed, shrugging.  "What'ya got so far?"
Geena turned to Gaster.  "Can I help with dinner?"

Sam brought Lex to the garage. He reassembled his robot and powered it on before Sam took it through it's paces. "Ally helped me recode the arm so it moved smoother." He offered the controller to Lex so he could try it out too.

Gaster smiled. "Sure! Can you please fry up abut three fourths of that taco meat? The rest can go on a plate in the fridge."

Lex took the controller and gave it a try.  "Yeah, responds a lot better now.  Got a bit of a hitch going up and to the left.  Not a move you'll use often, but if you want, I can tweak it for you.  Tell Ally I like what she did."

"It would be a pleasure!" Geena agreed and tied on an apron before setting to work.

Sam nodded. "Yes please, and I will tell her."

Gaster worked on making homemade guacamole and on getting everything else out and ready for dinner.

Lex turned off the controller and picked up the robot.  He muttered to himself as he worked, talking under his breath and carrying on a conversation with himself.

"That looks beautiful!" Geena enthused finishing up the meat.  "The uncooked in on a plate.  I found some plastic to cover it with.

Sam curiously watched Lex work, and even gave him tools the older guy couldn't find right away.

Gaster smiled and got a spoon out. He offered it to Geena. "Want to taste test it?"

Lex finished and tried out the arm.  "There we go.  Here, I think it's done."

Geena accepted the bite.  "That is as good as it looks!"

Sam smiled. "Thank you!" he said happily.

Gaster smiled. "Wonderful! If everything is done, I think we can start gathering everyone up for dinner, yes?"

"It's no trouble," Lex said.  "Come on, sounds like Dinner is about ready."

Geena went to the living room first.  "Ashton, Shuni, are you ready for dinner?"

Sam nodded and scurried off to wash his hands. Paul was told and was at Sam's heels.

Gaster went to True's room and knocked softly before he poked his head in to see if either True or Kat were awake. Kat was not, still curled up against True.

Ashton stood after putting Night in his blanket. "All right. Go get washed up, Shu."

Lex followed a little more slowly to wash up.

True woke and peered fuzzily up at Gaster.  "Huh?  What?"

"Shoe?" Shuni repeated, going to get washed up.

"Dinner is build your own tacos." Gaster said. "Are you hungry?"

Ashton nodded as he followed Shuni. "Shu. Short for Shuni, long for Sh."

True considered then shook his head.  "Not really.  Thanks, Dad."

"Sh?  That's what you say when you want someone to be quiet," Shuni frowned, waiting for his turn after Lex.

Gaster nodded. "I will check back again later, all right?" He said. "Hollar if you need anything." He paused before he left. "By the way, Geena made us a couple pumpkin pies, if you want a slice later."

Ashton sighed. "It was a joke, but never mind."

"Pie is always a yes," True answered with a tired smile.  "Tell her hi?"

"Okay, Ashies," Shuni agreed happily, going in to wash his hands.
Lex snickered as he walked passed Ashton toward the kitchen.  "And you thought Ash was bad."

Gaster smiled and nodded. "I will, and I will bring you both a slice when we get to cutting the pies." He promised.

Ashton did not look happy at that. "Shuni, don't call me that." He said seriously.

"Thank you, that's awesome," True said, smiling.

"Okay!" Shuni agreed, scampering off to the kitchen.
