DT Serum, Primary Testing In Progress

Ashton grinned. He was always glad to make Lex happy in the small ways. Besides, putting him in a good mood early in the day meant he shouldn't get grumpy as quickly.

Gaster knocked on True's door. Treble purred the whole while, and rubber her head against True. As long as he remembered to pet and snuggle her, it all was a good idea to her!

Lex picked one and held it up.  "You are going to be the first!"
"Does he always talk to his food?  I had not noticed that before," Shuni asked Ashton, puzzled.

"Come in!" True called, scratching Treble's ears.

"Only the food he likes." Ashton said with a smile. "And that box is all his. Touch it, and you may lose your arm, just a warning."

Gaster came in. "Shuni and Ashton bought donuts for everyone for breakfast." He gave True the plate and a napkin. He took a deep breath. "Ready for today?" He asked softly.

Shuni's eyes got big and he nodded.  "I won't touch!  Promise!"

True smiled and nodded.  "After these donuts, yeah, I'll be ready for anything!"

Gaster chuckled. "I am going to make sure Paul and Sam get ready, and will grab something to eat myself before we go, all right?"

"Probably a good thing..." Ashton said. He grabbed some raw bacon and munched on that as he watched Lex choose which order his donuts were to be sacrificed in.

"Deal," True smiled.  "Could you tell them to come in and say goodbye to me before going to school?"  Just in case.

Shuni watched him quietly.  There was no disgust or any sort of pulling away.  He seemed merely curious.  Like a cat.  "Does it taste different?  Different meats, I mean, or does it all taste the same?"

"I was actually going to ask if you wanted to come with, and I can take you to the lab once we drop Paul off." Gaster said. "I would be taking the car this time."

Ashton nodded. "Yup. Different meats and different cuts even all taste a bit different."

True nodded.  "I'd like that, yeah.  Thanks, Dad."

Shuni smiled brilliantly.  "Good!  Can I try some?"

Gaster smiled. "I'll be back in a bit to help you get ready, all right?"

Ashton shook his head. "Nope. If you ate raw meat, you could get very sick. My body is weird, and I won't get sick, but I can only eat raw meat."

True saluted him with a donut.  "See you soon!"

"Can you eat lettuce?" Shuni asked.

Gaster nodded and got him, Sam, and Paul ready for the day.

Ashton shook his head. "Nope."

"Tomatoes?" Shuni asked.  "Potatoes?  Hamburgers?  Cheese?  Cheese on hamburgers?  Tofu?"

"Only raw hamburgers, and tofu is gross whether I can eat it or not." Ashton calmly answered.. He put his cleaned off plate in the sink.

"Do you eat kitties?" Shuni asked suspiciously.

"No. I have never eaten a cat." Ashton said certainly. "And rats make me sick."

"Me too!  And I am very happy you never eated a cat," Shuni said.  "Or is it... eat-ten?"

"Eaten." Ashton nodded. "The past tense of eat is eaten. Or ate in some scenarios."

"I thought eight was a number?" Shuni asked, nibbling on his donut.

"Ate, a-t-e, not eight as in the number." Ashton tried to explain.

"A-T-E," Shuni repeated carefully.  "What is the number spelled like?"

"E-i-g-h-t." Ashton replied.

Gaster came out. "Do any of you three with to go to the lab today?" He asked Ashton, Lex, and Shuni. Ashton shook his head.

Shuni looked at Ashton, and when Ashton shook his head, he repeated the move.  "No, thank you!"
"Nope," Lex said, not even looking up from playing eenie meenie minie moe with his donuts.

Gaster nodded. "All right." He went back to True's room to help him get ready.

True was stiff and the move pulled at his back, but he didn't pay much attention.  Today was the day!  THE day!  "Thank you, Dad."

Gaster smiled. "It's no trouble at all." He helped True into his chair and wheeled him to the car. Once True was in, Gaster called for Sam and Paul, who came and got in too. As always, Paul was overly excited.
