DT Serum, Primary Testing In Progress

Something switched in Tramp.  He stood and picked up Bobo, sticking the bag under his arm.  "I'm no charity case.  We'll be fine.  Thanks for the food, Ex.  I'll see you around.  Let me know if you need a line to anything."  He moved toward the door, scratching Bobo's ear.

Echo's smile faded, and a look of hurt flashed across her face. She had never seen Tramp as a charity case; just as a friend she wanted to help. She knew he deserved better, and just wanted him to get what she knew he should have. Echo looked down and moved towards the other side of the basement. there was a window there she could slip through and not cross paths with Tramp again tonight.

Tramp walked out, heading back into the streets.  He'd be fine.  He knew how to work the streets.  Give a little, get a lot.  He'd be fine.  He didn't need the charity of others.  He could work his own way out and up.  Someday he'd have a better place.

Echo retreated to one of the few places she felt comfortable; the rooftops. She climbed up and ran from roof to roof, landing lightly and barely making a sound. After a while, she slid down and twisted into an ally and continued to run, through and over and under all obstacles until she felt tired, and only then did she stop to catch her breath.

Primus was on the floor.  He didn't remember falling or blacking out or even being dizzy.  One minute he'd been standing and getting ready to get into bed, the next he was on his knees next to his bed feeling dazed as though someone had hit him over the head.  The hell??

Echo finally caught her breath and decided to find the dealer who sold the high quality stuff. She started to where their usual haunt was, but saw an opportunity or two, and collected over a hundred more dollars in a matter of minutes. She would use the amount he asked for, and if the redhead was a bit nicer, she may give him more. Otherwise, she might flip it to..... oh yeah. Tramp. She sighed heavily. She wasn't sure if Tramp actually even wanted to see her again after his outburst.

(Considering how unpredictable Tramp is, I imagine he's flip-flopped on her a lot.  And I don't have anyone to interact with...)

(Yeah.... I didn't either really :/ Time skip until morning?)

True yawned as he woke up nestled up next to Gaster.  He hadn't meant to get so cozy, but apparently his sleep self had.  Oh well.  This was amazingly comfortable and he didn't want to wake up.

Primus groaned as he rolled out of bed and threw on clothes.  He didn't pay attention to what he put on.  He could have been wearing red and green for all he knew.  Stumbling downstairs, he started getting breakfast ready.  School day.  He needed to get the munchkins ready for school since Gaster was out.

Gaster was still asleep. It was probably good he was so out of it, since he would be depressed still when he woke.

Sam was already awake, quietly reading in his pjs in the living room when Primus came downstairs. Sam read White Fang while he petted Lynx.

Ashton woke about the same time as Primus, and made his way downstairs a mere ten minutes after his friend. "I can make breakfast." he offered.

True yawned again, relieved when he realized Gaster was still asleep.  He snuggled in and dozed off himself.

Primus pushed the loaf of bread toward Ashton.  "Cereal and toast.  We're running late today.  I'm going to get them up."

Ashton nodded and got the toaster out. "I'll get that ready while you wake 'em." He started toasting bread and pouring cereal.

Primus went to Sam's room first and knocked on the door.  "Sam, up and att'em.  We got a little brother to walk to school."  He didn't stop, heading for Paul's room next.

Lynx lifting her head and shook it before laying back down and snuggling up, purring.

Sam called back an okay and set his book down before he slid out of bed and tugged clothes on.

Paul was asleep, sprawled all over his bed as normal.

Primus knocked then walked in.  "Hey, Pest, time to be up.  Let's go, the school can't start without their best student."

Shuni padded out of his room barefoot and went up to his brother.  "What are you doing?"

Paul yawned and stretches before he sleepily got up. He hugged Primus before he got dressed.

"Breakfast." Ashton told Shuni, handing his brother a bowl of cereal and two pieces of toast. "We're tight on time, and need to get the shortest shortstack to school."

Primus ruffled Paul's hair and went to get Paul's things together.

"I thought shortstacks were pancakes," Shuni said, sitting down to eat.

Paul pulled on some clothes and picked up Bitty Kitty, bringing the kitten to breakfast as usual. Sam sat down not too much longer later. Ashton gave them breakfast and poked Shuni's side. "Well, you're sauishy like a pancake."

Shuni giggled, smiling at his brother.  "You're squishy!"
"Don't let Bitty Kitty drink your milk," Primus warned Paul as the little kitty tried to get at Paul's cereal bowl.

Ashton grinned back. "Eat up, or we will run late." He said, messing up Shuni's hair.

Paul giggled and gently pulled the kitten back. "No, Bitty Kitty. That isn't your milk!"

Shuni nodded and gulped down his pancakes.
Bitty Kitty mewed in protest but sat as told and let Paul finish.

When Paul was done eating, he insisted on getting Bitty Kitty her own milk before they left.

Ashton took the dishes as people got done. He rinsed and put them in the sink to wash later.

Primus allowed it then shooed him off to get his things.  "Little dudes one, two, and three!  We gotta go!  Ash, you coming?"

"Aye aye, captain!" Ashton answered. He grabbed his coat and shrugged it on. The easy life here had allowed several of his wounds to heal, no matter how slowly, and he looked a lot better now. Ashton felt a lot better too. Food was easy to get and plentiful, and there was a lot less stress. However... he didn't want to become rusty. Perhaps he could ask Primus later if they could take a walk.... or roof hop.

Paul scampered off to get his things. He nearly forgot a school book, but Sam remembered it for him. Sam walked up to Primus. "Hey Primus? After we drop Paul off, can we please walk past Dad's lab? I'd like to help Dr. Ally today if that's all right." He asked. "You don't have to go in or anything."

Shuni laughed and took Ashton's hand, sticking close to his brother.  "You are funny, Ashton."

Primus considered as he kept an eye on the others.  "Yeah.  I'll walk you there.  Ashton and Shuni should be fine together."  He wasn't going to ask Ashton to go to the lab.  Whether or not he was walking into the lab... he'd decide when they got there.
