DT Serum, Primary Testing In Progress

"I think it's better than Bass." He said with a smile. "I think that name would clearly mark her as your cat as well." Gaster chuckled.

True picked the cat up and looked at her nose to nose.  "What do you think, Treble?"

The newly named Treble mewed and licked his nose.

"I think she likes it," True chuckled, putting the kitten in his lap.  "How's Sam?"

"Still sick." Gaster replied. "He's gotten a little worse, but not as bad as he has been before." He assured True. Treble laid down in his lap, purring adorably.

"Why is he sick so much?  Isn't there something you can do for him?" True asked worriedly.  "I know there's like foods and spices that can strengthen his immune system."

Gaster shook his head. "Nothing much, no. He has always been a more frail child."

True frowned, stroking Treble. There had to be something.

Shuni stood at the door, peering around the jam shyly.

Treble purred as she was pet, very happy. Her dappled fur was fluffy and soft to the touch.

Gaster noticed Shuni and smiled. "Shuni! What's new?"

Shuni looked confused. "This day is new."

Gaster chuckled. "It's an expression, akin to 'what's up' or 'how are you.'"

"Oh!" Shuni brightened. "I am fine. How are you?"

"I am doing very well." Gaster smiled. "Do you remember Genna? She was our waitress at the restaurant we all went to as a family. I saw her today, and she wanted me to tell you and everyone she says hi."

Shuni nodded. "She was nice. I want to say hi back. Can I say hi back?"

Gaster smiled and nodded. "I will tell her you said hi back when next I see her." He said warmly.

"Thank you, Doctor Dad," Shuni said then bit his tongue. "I mean Gaster! I'm sorry!"

True laughed. "You found his name!"

Gaster smiled. "You may call me Doctor Dad if you wish. I don't mind that one."

Shuni looked at him worriedly. "Truly is okay?"

Gaster nodded kindly. "If you want to call me Doctor Dad, it is truly okay."

Shuni's whole body vibrated in joy.  "Thanking you, Doctor Dad!  Thanking you very much!"

Gaster chuckled and motioned for Shuni to come over to him so he could give the boy a hug.

Shuni came over, grinning ecstatically as he approached and awkwardly held out his arms.

Gaster chuckled and gave Shuni a gentle and warm hug. "You're a good kid, Shuni." Gaster checked on the time. "I am going to make grilled cheese and tomato soup for lunch. True, would you mind waking Sam and seeing if he needs anything while I start it?" He asked. It would be a big help if True did, but Gaster understood if True was busy.

"Of course," True agreed instantly.  He moved over into his chair and wheeled toward the door.  "It's been a long time since I've had grilled cheese and soup!"

"Can I help?" Shuni asked hopefully.

Gaster smiled. "Thank you True. And of course you can help, Shuni! I'll show you how to make grilled cheese sandwiches, and then you can try if you want."
