DT Serum, Primary Testing In Progress

The band sang two more songs with True.  Then part of the crowd began shouting the name of one of True and Kat's songs.  True grinned and glanced at Kat.  "Shall we?"

"I mean... If its okay with the band." Kat blushed.

True glanced at him and smirked.  "Think you can keep up?"
The lead singer laughed.  "Let's find out!"
The drummer set the beat, and the band took off, following True and Kat's lead.

Kat smiled and sang with True, pouring her heart and soul into the music.

The concert was coming to an end, and Kat and True had spent about half of it on the stage with the band.  At last it was time for the last song.
"Hey, gang, what if we gave True a chance?" the lead singer asked, smiling.  "True, you got anything new?"
True smiled.  "Actually, I have one song no one has heard yet.  Not sure if I should sing it now.  This is your concert."
"Come on, kid!  How often is this opportunity going to present itself!  What do you say out there, fans?"

Kat smiled as she heard the crowd cheering. "What do you want me to do? I can still harmonize as you lead." She offered.

"Just follow my lead and listen," True smiled.  "Use the tambourine."  He turned his attention to the crowd and smiled as he struck a soft, slow, gentle country/blues song.  "this song is dedicated to someone special."

The song trailed off, and it seemed the song was over, bringing everyone to their feet.  Then suddenly the tune picked up, True tapping out the happy beat on his guitar as the rest of the band followed easily into the beautiful instrumental solo.

Kat smiled and kept time with the tambourine the manager gave her. She liked the beat and the words True had written. She felt her heart swell with love an affection that came so easily with him. She wanted to kiss him when he was done, but didn't want to make a big scene on a stage in front of hundreds of people.

True bowed as the crowd cheered wildly, indicating for Kat to help him roll back off the stage as the band took their bows.

Kat gladly did that for him. Once backstage, she kissed his cheek. "That was amazing! You were amazing!"

True laughed and pulled Kat onto his lap, kissing her deeply as the band started up once more in an encore.  "So were you!"

Kat laughed and kissed him back, smiling. "This night.... has been perfect." She said happily. "Thank you."

True smiled and touched his forehead to hers.  "It's not over yet.  First, to chat with the band a bit and get their signatures.  Then to get to our reservations for dinner.  And finally... I have a surprise to show you."

Kat smiled happily. "All right. And then after that, I, ah, have something to talk to you about?" She asked more than stated.

"Of course!" True agreed.  "After that, the night is yours."
The band finished the set and headed backstage.  True followed them, taking Kat with him as she was on his lap.  He asked them politely for their autographs, and to his surprise, they asked for Kat and True's autographs.

Kat was as surprised as True, but very gladly obliged the exchange of signatures. She smiled and thanked the band over and over again, amazed and glad at how nice of people they all were.

True grinned, watching Kat.  They chatted for about an hour before True explained they had to go and escorted Kat out.  "Did you have as much fun as you looked like you were having?" True asked, smiling.

Kat giggled and nodded. "Yes. That was so amazing! They were so nice!"

True laughed, rolling along.  "I hope you don't mind the restaurant.  It's not the one you pointed out earlier, but I already had reservations."

"O-oh." Kat said, blushing. This seemed to be a little nicer restaurant even. "Are you sure?" She double checked.

True hesitated, looking at her worriedly.  "Unless you really wanted that other restaurant?  I remembered you saying you wanted to eat at this one someday, but..." he trailed off.

Kat shook her head. "No! It's fine. You made a reservation. Let's not let it go to waist." Kat smiled. "Sorry. Just, ah, thinking again."

"Okay," True said, taking her at her word.  He led the way inside, spoke to the maitre d'.  The man was happy to take them to their corner table, candle lit in the low lighting, one chair removed to accommodate True's chair.

Kat looked around in awe. This was a lot fancier than she had previously thought! And the candlelight made it very romantic.

True awkwardly pulled Kat's chair out for her before taking his place.  "Don't ask me what anything on the menu means.  It's like it's a foreign langue," he admitted to her.  "We should have brought Shuni to translate."
