DT Serum, Primary Testing In Progress

"And who's that?" Gaster asked curiously.

Ashton sighed a little and kept holding Shuni. He would allow this until he had to make food for Night.

"Proditer," True said simply.  "He's the one thread that ties us all together, wether we like it or not."

Night mewed and snuggled up to Ashton.  He was happy here.

Gaster laughed humorlessly. "The man we all hate and fear the most is the one who brought us all under the same roof. The irony is not lost on me."

Ashton pet Night while he kept an arm around his little brother. Something about hiding and holding Shuni seemed vaguely familiar, like deja vu, but that was all. Ashton assumed it meant that he used to comfort Shuni when they still lived together.

"Me neither," True chuckled then yawned.  "So, tomorrow's a big day."

Night wrapped his paws around Ashton's thumb and snuggled it.

Gaster nodded. "yes, tomorrow is a big day indeed." He said quietly. "You should get as much sleep as possible." He came over and tucked True into bed.

Ashton smiled a little. He stayed up all night and watched over Night and Shuni, not wanting to leave either right now.

True reached up and pulled Gaster into a hug.  "Thank you, Dad.  I love you, and thank you."

Gaster smiled. "You're welcome, True. I love you too." He kissed his son's head before he shut off the light and closed the door.

True found Treble and hugged the cat happily.

Treble was all to happy for snuggles and attention. The fluffy calico purred as she fell asleep next to True, warm and happy.

Shuni slowly woke the next morning snuggled up to Ashton.  He yawned hugely.  "Good morning, Ashton."

"Morning, Shu." Ashton responded. "Sleep okay?"

Shuni nodded, smiling a little.  "Thank you for staying and coming back."

Ashton smiled a little back. "Yeah. I'm going to try and be a better brother now, okay?" He ruffled Shuni's hair.

Shuni smiled.  "You are a good brother."

Ashton laughed a little. "Not as good as Lex ot True, but I'll try to be as good as them. Now, I probably should feed Night, eh?"

Shuni nodded. "I will get his food for you!" He got up and scampered off to the kitchen.

Ashton still stood and followed Shuni, bringing Night with him. He checked on Lex to make sure he was all right.

Lex was still snoring on the couch, oblivious to the world around him.  Shuni smiled a little then started getting the kitten food ready.

Ashton smiled, and got an idea. "Hey Shuni, since we're up before everyone else, you wanna go on a walk with me to get breakfast for everyone?"

Shuni brightened as he looked up at Ashton.  "Really?"

Ashton nodded. "We're going to get donuts for everyone." He whispered to Shuni as he fed Night. "But this little guy needs fed first."

"What are donuts?" Shuni asked, handing over the kitten food.

"You'll see. I think you'll like them." Ashton said. He fed Night, and once the kitten was full and happy, he put the baby cat to bed in a blanket on the couch Lex wasn't on. He then motioned for Shuni to follow him after leaving a note that he and Shuni were getting breakfast for everyone, and not to worry.

Shuni hesitated then held up his hand.  Would Ashton permit him to hold his hand?

Ashton waited nearly a minute before he actually did hold Shuni's hand. He walked with his little brother down the street. "Lex likes fresh donuts." He explained on the way. "So we are getting fresh donuts for everyone."
