DT Serum, Primary Testing In Progress

"Good colors," True said then braced himself for the hug. "Hey, you! How's it going, little bro?"

Paul beamed at him. "It's going great! We made cookies in science class today, and then we ate them!"

"No way! I'd like science a lot better if I got to eat it," True grinned, getting Paul settled on his lap before he started toward home. He almost went the way of their old house but remembered in time. "What do you think, Sam? Can we build an eatable robot?"

Sam laughed. "That may be very hard to do. There's no way you could make a completely edible one."

True made a pouty face. "Paul, Sam keeps shooting down all my robot ideas!"

Paul giggled. "That means Sam gets no dinner, right?"

"Hey!" Sam said with a frown.

"That's right!" True said, pretending to ignore Sam. "And I was going to make totally awesome tacos for dinner."

"Nooooo..." Sam whimpered. "I'll tell dad!"

Paul just kept giggling at the whole thing.

True gave in with a laugh and reached out to pull Sam to him. "I'm just joking, kid! I'd never do that to you, not ever."

Sam hugged his big brother a hug. "Okay."

Paul's face lit up as he remembered. "True! Are we all moved into the new house now?!"

"We are!" True said cheerfully, hugging Sam tight before letting go and rolling on. "Your rooms are pretty awesome."

Both boys grinned excitedly. When they were a couple blocks away, Sam challenged True to a race home.

True readily agreed and told Paul to hold tight before taking off. He was careful, keeping the pace close to Sam's, letting him win, but only just barely. "Ah, man! You win!" True laughed, opening the door. He watched Sam covertly. Was his asthma okay after the run?

Sam was out of breath, but clearly only challenged when they were that close so he didn't have an asthma attack. Other than being tired and out of shape, the scrawny boy seemed fine.

Paul slid off of True's lap and ran to his room to unpack some.

Gaster had just gotten up and had taken some pain meds for his back. He walked out of his room right after Paul ran in his own. "Sorry." He apologized to True. "I guess I was a little more tired than I thought."

True nodded to himself, glad Sam was fine, then turned to Gaster. "It's okay, Doctor Dad. You should take a hot bath and soak those muscles. I'm going to make tacos for dinner, unless that's a horrid idea?"

Gaster shook his head. "That sounds great. I am going to move some stuff. I may soak after dinner." He went to unpack some boxes, and Sam went to help him. Paul came out after a bit and asked True if he wanted help.

"Sure, if you're offering," True agreed. He could use the help finding everything and gave Paul a list of things to help him find.

Paul did his best to help, exclaiming triumphantly as he found each item.

It took some time, but between the two of them, True was able to get everything he needed.  He started singing dorky nonsensical songs as he cooked the hamburger and seasoned it, giving Paul the job of tearing the lettuce to bits.  He'd do the chopping for now.

Paul gladly did as his brother asked. The counters of this house were a couple of inches lower than the last one, so Paul had less trouble reaching the counter to tear up lettuce.

The lower counters helped True, as well, as he wasn't much taller than Paul.   Possibly even shorter.  When everything was ready, he said, "Paul, do you want to do the honors and call the other two to dinner?"

Paul was about True's height, with Sam being only a little taller.Paul smiled and ran to his other brother and dad. He told them and they went to wash up for dinner. Gaster thanked True for making dinner for everyone.

"It's my pleasure!" True told them happily.  After dinner, he enlisted his brother's help in cleaning up but smacked Gaster's hand with a rubber spatula when he tried to help.  "Don't you have a bath to attend to?"

"Ow." Gaster said when his hand was smacked. True might have been able to tell his dad was still hurting a bit since he didn't fight on the subject and went to take a hot bath as he was told.

Tue gave a satisfied nod.  "Sam, you're on Dad duty.  Make sure he rests and is totally and outrageously pampered, okay?  Paul, got any homework you need to finish before bed?"
