DT Serum, Primary Testing In Progress

Gaster smiled. "I don't see why not." Paul cheered and this time, Gaster pushed True and Paul to the ice cream shop, and told the three of them to order whatever they wanted.

True ordered bubble gum with cherries and sprinkles. It had actual gum balls in the icecream!

Paul got an extreme moose tracks sundae with no nuts, and Sam just ordered a chocolate cone. Gaster got cookie dough ice cream in a chocolate dipped waffle cone. He paid for it all and asked if they wanted to find a seat outside, since it was a nice day.

"Outside works for me," True said, chasing drips with his tongue. "I can take my chair with me."

Sam started to zone out again as they sat down and ate. "What do you think you'll play for the showcase?" Gaster asked True.

"I don't know, maybe something brand new, maybe something old," True said. "What do you think I should play?"

"Whatever means the most to you and you feel good singing." Gaster said genuinely.

True focused on eating his ice cream, thinking about what Gaster said. A song. His song. A summary of his life. What song would that be?

Paul screwed his eyes shut tightly as he got a brain freeze. "MMM!"

"Push your tongue against the roof of your mouth," True told him.

Paul nodded and did as he was told. The kid relaxed as his brain freeze subsided.

"Better?" he smiled, then held out his empty bowl filled with gumballs. "Want some?"

Paul smiled and accepted one. "Thank you, True!" He said happily. Paul popped the gumball in his mouth after he finished his ice cream.

True offered the gumballs to Paul and his dad then popped one into his mouth. "So... Where to now? Home? Home shopping? The lab?"

Gaster politely passed on the gumballs. "Well, we could go home, or we could do something fun this evening."

"Like what?" True asked curiously. They rarely went out. Actually... They'd never gone out.

"Maybe the movies?" Gaster suggested. Paul cheered for that idea, and Sam grinned.

"I've never been to the movies, so, sure," True agreed happily.

Gaster smiled and took the boys there. He told them to pick a PG rated movie. Paul wanted to see the Secret Life of Pets.

"A movie about talking animals?" True asked, trying not to sound sceptical. "Hey, at least with me here, you get great seats."

Paul smiled and nodded excitedly. Once they had their tickets, Gaster bought them hot dogs, sodas, and popcorn for their dinners.

True tentatively took a bite of popcorn then closed his eyes. "Mmmm That's good! How'd they do that?"

Gaster laughed. "Lots and lots of salt and butter."

"Individually good, together it's awesome!" True happily munched the popcorn, almost forgetting his hotdog. The trailers dragged on and on, but food made it tolerable.

Gaster chuckled. He made sure that they all eventually ate their hotdogs before getting the rest of the popcorn.
