DT Serum, Primary Testing In Progress

True tapped Sam's shoulder. "Set my break for me, please?"

Sam nodded and set True's break for him.

"Okay. Now I'm ready for the little puppy," True smirked. "Speaking of puppies, any word on a certain cat enthusiast?"

Gaster shook his head. Before he could say anything more, a man walked up to True. "Hey, you were the guy who played the guitar in the park a few days ago, right?" His voice sounded strangely familiar. Gaster caught that and narrowed his eyes, trying to place who this guy was.

True looked up at him, startled. "Um... Yes? You are...?"

He smiled and held out his hand to True. "I'm DJ J.R. from the radio station, Kool 99.4. I heard your music the other day, and was wondering if you wanted to join us for a local music showcase on Friday. We pull several local artists and air some of their music, as well as give them a brief, on-air interview to some of them." Gaster relaxed. That was why the man's voice sounded familiar. He was a radio DJ. Sam's eyes widened as he too recognized the DJ now.

"Oh, yeah, I've listened to your station," True said, nodding calmly. "Always though the double initials was a bit much. D.J. J.R.? Why not Junior?" He smiled a little. "Sorry if that's rude, but I've been waiting two years to tell you that. Are you serious about this showcase?"

J.R. took it well, laughing. "No worries. And yes, I am serious about the showcase. My daughter was with me and heard you play, and wanted me to give you her allowance for this week she liked you that much."

True blinked. "You're serious? Seriously? Wow. I-Sure! I'd be honored to go to the showcase."

J.R. smiled and gave True more details about time, and asked for his information to put on the roster for this Friday.

"True Gaster, you can reach me at this number," he gave the D.J. the number for his apartment in the lab. "If not, call him," he nodded to the Doc.

J.R. smiled widely, putting the info into his phone just before the kids were released. He waved bye, and said he hoped True could make it on Friday. Paul of course came right up and hugged True, but didn't tackle him this time, having remembered his back was still sore.

"Hey, little buddy!" True said, happy to return the hug. "How was school?"

Paul beamed and told True all about it. Ariel had trained him some more during recess, but she got sent to the office because a bully tried to pick on Paul, but Ariel beat him up real good.

True shook his head in amusement. "She's some girl, that Ariel. Just remember, it's good to defend yourself and others, but violence isn't always the answer." He rubbed Paul's head gently. "Let's go home, yeah?"

Paul smiled and nodded. "Okay. Ariel just got mad was all. But she was really strong and tough, and showed that bully to not mess with us again!"

"Good," True said flatly. He glanced up at Gaster. "Hey, Dad? This thing, the thing, it's a good idea, right?"

Gaster cocked his head at true. "The one the man talked to you about earlier?"

True nodded. "Is it the real deal? It feels like a joke."

Gaster shook his head. "I'm pretty sure that was the real deal. We can check and see if your name is on the official site later as being a guest on the show."

"Alright, deal," True smiled, slowly starting to get into the idea. "Wow. A radio show. That's a big deal!"

Gaster smiled. Sam grinned. "True, this might be a big break for you!"

True hugged Paul tightly since he was the one right there on his lap. "I gave up on that a long time ago."

Paul happily hugged True back. "I never gave up on you!" Paul said cheerily.

True laughed, leaning back carefully in his chair. "You're such a sweet kid," he chuckled. "Hey, Dad, can we stop for ice cream? Please?"
