DT Serum, Primary Testing In Progress

Tramp lifted his shoulder in a shrug.  "I guess.  So... What now?"  He wasn't used to just sitting.  On the streets, hurt or no, he always had to be on the move.  If he was too bruised up to work the corner, he'd repair stuff in his warehouse and try to sell it.

"What do you want to do?" Ashton asked. "If you like music, I can probably ask True to make a soundtrack for you to listen to."

"I don't want to bother anyone," Tramp said.  "I had a radio... I can't remember what I did with it..."

"I'm sure it wouldn't be a bother." Ashton laughed softly. "True's a musician, and I'm sure he wouldn't mind letting you listen to a demo reel of his and his girlfriend's works."

"Oh... I guess, sure?  Why not, if they want to hear the voice of the masses," Tramp grinned.

Ashton grinned back and slipped downstairs. "Oh Tru-ue..." He called in a singsong voice. "I have something to ask of yoouuu..."

True rolled out of his room, headphones around his neck, Treble on his lap, and looked at Ashton suspiciously.  "And that would beeeee?"

"So... you know that friend I've been visiting?" Ashton explained. "He got banged up pretty bad, and is recovering in my room until he's all healed up, but I was wondering if he could possibly listen to a demo reel of you and Kat?"

True raised his brows.  "He's here?  Huh.  Okay.  Can I meet him, or is he going to stay hidden away in your room?"

"Probably best if he rests and recovers for the time being, but I can see later if you two can meet." Ashton negotiated.

True considered and nodded.  "Alright.  I have one CD ready, if he'd like to listen to it.  I'm fooling around with the idea of having physical albums as well as the online individual songs people can download."

Ashton smiled brightly. "Can I borrow the CD? I have a radio I can play it through."

"Minute."  True rolled back into his room and soon reappeared with the CD in hand.  "Here.  Ask him what he thinks of the arrangement of the songs."

"I will." Ashton promised. "You're the best, True!" He scampered back upstairs to his room and showed Tramp the CD. "This is their unreleased demo, and True wants your opinion on the song arrangement."

"I think I can do that!" Tramp said cheerfully.  "Thank you.  This should be interesting."  He didn't expect much of a demo made by a guy in his room while living in his dad's house.

Ashton smiled and played the CD, watching Tramp for a reaction.

Tramp stilled, listening in awe.  He couldn't move, smiling with the happy songs, laughing softly at the funny ones, and biting his lip at the sad ones.  No songs had ever gripped him like this.

After the CD was done, Ashton grinned. "They're pretty good, aren't they?"

"Ye-yeah.  They're good," Tramp murmured.  He felt like he'd been dreaming.  Such power!  It was... It wasn't like anything he'd ever heard before.

Ashton laughed softly. "It's funny watching them make new songs. True looks like a little kid, and Kat just seems amused at his energy."

"How come I haven't heard of them before?" Tramp mumbled, looking the case over.

"From what I've gathered, they made songs together for maybe the past month and started hitting it big then."

"Huh.  I must have just been missing them," Tramp shrugged, scratching his scalp.  He sighed, fingering his hair.  It was a mess!  He was careful about body image.  It was his best seller!

Ashton noticed. "Want, uh, a brush?" He offered to Tramp.

"Sure, if you have one you don't mind a dirty tramp using," Tramp said cheerfully.
