DT Serum, Primary Testing In Progress

Shuni was sitting as close to Ally as he could get without actually touching her, watching the anime with wide-eyed delight.

Lex went looking for Sam, not sure where he'd gone.

Paul gently tugged on Shu8ni's sleeve. "Shuni?" he asked quietly. "True wants to see all of us. In Daddy's office."

Sam was in the breakroom with Ashton. They had gotten food for Lex, but Ashton had seen his friend was asleep and didn't want to disturb him, so he brought Sam there instead.

Shuni jumped in surprise then smiled and nodded.  "Okay.  Bye, Dr. Ally.  I have to go now.  Maybe I could come tomorrow?"

"Hey, you two," True smiled as he tiredly wheeled into the breakroom.

Ally nodded. "S-sure." Paul smiled sweetly and gently tugged Shuni to Lex's room.

Ashton nodded. "Sup.
Sam smiled at True. "Hi True. How was your workout with Paul?"

Shuni watched Layla and Lex and smiled.  "Lex is cute when he sleeps," he whispered to Paul.  "He is like little kid.  Not so grumpy."

"It was exhausting," True chuckled.  "Thanks for asking.  We should get home and get some dinner.  Tomorrow is Sunday, we can come back since there's no school."

Paul smiled and nodded in agreement. "He looks a bit like True when he sleeps." He whispered back to Shuni.

Ashton nodded. "All right. Lex is asleep right now, although if you want, I'll pass that on to him."

"That would be perfect.  Thanks, Ashton," True smiled.  "Come on, Sam.  I told Paul to meet me with Shuni in Dad's office.  We'd best get them before they wake him up."  He rolled down the hall, quietly signaling to his two little brothers from the doorway.

Ashton nodded and watched them go. Back to the quietness.

Paul saw True and scampered out. "True!" He said when he reached his older brothers. "Lex looks a lot like you when he's sleeping!"

"Really?  I thought he looked like Lex when he slept," True grinned, rolling off toward the elevator.

"Well, he still looked like Lex." Paul giggled as he followed. "But he looked a lot more like you too. And he looked happy snuggled with Miss Layla."

"I'll bet he did," True mumbled with a faint smile, heading for home.

Lex slept soundly for another hour then woke with a start.  He mumbled as he tried to orient himself, completely discombobulated.

Layla tried to calm lex down when he woke, reassuring him where he was, why he was there, and that everything was okay.

Lex squinted blearily at Layla.  "I had a weird dream about you," he said bluntly.  "Did I use you as a pillow?"

Layla laughed a little. "Yeah, ya kinda did. What was the dream about, if I can ask?"

"Sorry," Lex yawned as he carefully worked himself upright.  "I dreamed you were kissing me.  A lot."

Layla blushed. "It's fine. Um, do... do you want me to kiss you again?"

Lex hesitated, eyeing her.  Was that a trick question?  "Do you want me to want you to kiss me?" he asked slowly.

Layla's cheeks turned red. "Well.... only if you want me to."

This was getting more tangled by the second.  Lex glanced toward the door half hoping and half scared Gaster was going to walk in at any second.

Layla noticed the gesture and felt bad, thinking Lex wanted to leave, but didn't want to say anything. Layla resisted the urge to bite her injured lip and looked down, scooting just slightly away from Lex, falling quiet.

Lex frowned when Layla moved.  "What?  Did I not say the right thing?"

"N-no..." Layla responded. "It's just.... I'm sorry."

Lex huffed, exasperated.  "And now you're sorry.  Why are you sorry?"

"Because I am passively forcing my feelings on you!" Layla said. She looked at Lex a moment before she looked down again. She felt upset.

Lex took a breath then stopped.  He didn't know what to say, so he said nothing.  He just tried to mentally summon Gaster to save him.  He had no idea what was going on and wanted to try waking up again to get a restart.
