DT Serum, Primary Testing In Progress

True hesitated then shook his head.  "I'll ask when I think I'll remembering the answer."

Gaster nodded. "All right. I am going to work for a little while. If either of you need anything, do be afraid to hollar."

"Don't worry.  I'll scream at the top of my lungs," True assured him.

Gaster nodded and went back to his office.

Kat smiled a little, her hand still on True's leg.

True closed his eyes and tried to breathe.  "So.  How's your day?"

"It's been fine so far, I suppose." Kat said. "Your dad called me when the surgery was done and asked if I wanted to come and be here for you." She smiled at him.

True smiled and took her hand in his.  "Thank you for being here."

Kat smiled. "I wouldn't want to be anywhere else."

True closed his eyes, resting.  "I love you, Kat."

Kat leaned forward and kissed his cheek. "I love you too, True."

"Did I say anything weird?" True asked.

"What do you mean?" Kat asked. "While you were waking up?"

"Yeah, while half drugged," True said, wishing he could snuggle with her.

"You asked if I would marry you and be your husband." Kat said with a smile.

True said nothing, just stared at Kat.  "What?" he asked in a toneless voice.

"While you were coming out of it, you asked me to marry you and be your husband." Kat sai with a faint smile. "I told you that if we did marry, I'd be your wife, not your husband. You insisted I'd be a wisband then."

True closed his eyes tightly.  "Kat?  Do me a favor and ask Dad to shoot me."

Kat looked alarmed. "Why on earth would I do that?!"

"Because I'm so embarrassed and there's no pillows to suffocate myself with," True replied.

"Why are you embarrassed? People usually say the weirdest things coming out of anesthesia." Kat said. "When I got my wisdom teeth removed, they put me under. My mom drove me home, and while I was coming out, I must have had double vision, and was confused by it. I asked why she had four eyes, two mouths, but only one nose." Kat laughed some.

True smiled faintly.  "Okay, that is pretty funny."

Kat smiled. "Therefor, don't feel embarrassed by the whole thing."

"I will try," True agreed.  "Kat?  You are truly amazing."

Kat smiled brightly. "Well, it's not hard, when all I have to do is be around an amazing guy like you."

True chuckled then winced.  "Okay.  Laughing hurts.  Hey, Kat, will you ask my dad when I can go home and be miserable in my own bed?"
