DT Serum, Primary Testing In Progress

Ashton quietly listened to everyone, but didn't speak unless spoken to.

Layla was talking with Lex and asking about things he might like to do together, as an idea of how to spend the day.

True glanced at the clock.  "Oi!  If we don't hurry up and leave, we're going to be late!"  He wheeled back from the table and started shooing his little brothers toward the bathrooms.  "Scrubbing of teeth must commence!"

Paul squeaked in surprise and scrambled to get everything ready in time.

Kat laughed at the adorable clumsiness.

True grinned at Kat.  "Coming with us?"

Lex calmly brushed his own then went and held out jackets for everyone.

Kat smiled. "Sure sounds like a good time to me."

Ashton got himself ready and made sure Night was home. He knew the kitten liked being with him, but if he was talking to people for Tramp, he didn't want any distractions.

"Night stays home today?" True asked, smiling as he heard the indignant meowing upstairs.  He headed out, leading the way and waiting for everyone to join him out front.

"Yeah, have some errands to run, and I wanna be able to focus completely." Ashton explained. "Not that it's normally a problem for me to focus with him there.... I just think I'll be taken more seriously if I didn't have a kitten with me."

True laughed.  "You've got a point there.  Everyone ready?"
"Looks like," Lex drawled.

Ashton smiled. He was ready. He had a wonderful idea for a job Tramp might like that he wanted to share. After he walked Paul to school, Ashton planned to swing by the warehouse to see if Tramp was around.

True scooped Paul into his lap, explaining, "I need a nice warm puppy to keep my legs warm!"
Lex walked between Layla and Ashton, but he kept glancing at Ashton.  He was worried.  Ashton was a survivor, very smart, good decisions, but Lex didn't like his current path.  He'd stay out of Ashton's business for now, but he'd keep his ear to the ground, watching and waiting.

Paul squealed happily and didn't protest at all. He loved it when True gave him rides. "Can we pretend we're space adventurers?" he asked True.

Ashton seemed content right now, and Layla smiled as she watched True and Paul. Kat walked beside True, and snapped a pic of the two together.

"Sure!" True agreed, not noticing the picture.  "Want to go to Venus?"

Lex glanced down at Sam and rested his hand lightly on top of Sam's head.  If it hadn't been for Sam's stubbornness to be his friend, Lex wouldn't be here today.

"Yeah!" Paul said excitedly.

Sam smiled and turned back to Lex, laughing. "What?" He asked.

True dutifully began pretending he was a spaceship blasting off to Venus.

"Nothing, just stealing your head," Lex smirked at him.

Paul had a blast and played along. The little guy was incredibly animated and imaginative.

Sam laughed. "Hey! I need that!"

"Really?  You don't seem to use it much, especially when it comes to chasing scary gang-bangers in alleyways and trying to get them to teach you moves," Lex smirked.

Sam laughed. "But I got two awesome brothers from it." He pointed out. "I count it as a high risk, high reward situation that paid off."

Lex ruffled his hair as they approached the school.  "Yeah, well, be careful of those situations.  They don't always pay up so well."

"And here we are on Venus!" True announced.

Sam smiled. "Good point. I don't think I could do that again if it wasn't you."

Paul cheered and hugged True, thanking him for the fun ride.

"Maybe later we'll work on your moves," Lex said before turning to give Paul his traditional goodbye.

Sam smiled at Lex and watched as Paul gave Lex a great big bear hug.

"Be good, pup," Lex growled to Paul.  "Now shoo.  Don't be late."

Paul nodded seriously to Lex, promising to be good before racing off to school.

Lex grunted and turned to Layla.  "Let's go.  I had a couple places I wanted to show you."
"And the family splits off once more to go their separate ways," True sighed.  "Shuni?"
"Can I go see Ally?" Shuni asked his father hopefully.

Layla tilted her head, very curious now. "All right." She told Lex and followed him.

Gaster smiled. "I don't see why not. I would like to talk with Ally a little before I head back home myself."
