Dragon Rider Play

Luke smiled widely and showered Warrior in fond praises at his wonderful kill. "Oh, if it's okay, could I collect some of the feathers before you eat it please?"

Nightshade strode before Pat. The feathered dragon looked graceful and elegant, and she knew it.

When Erika was done eating, Jeremiah began the morning ritual of cleaning her.

mellon crooned happily and lightly rubbed his head against his rider.

Warrior chirped in aproval and nudged the grouse toward Luke.  Feathers weren't for eating.  He could have them.

"I wonder if it is possible for a dragon to be too proud," Pat mused aloud, amused at her dragon.

Erika arched her back, enjoying the ritual.  It felt good!

"/Are you hungry?/" Tithenor asked, stroking him.

Luke smiled. "Thank you. I only want a few." He plucked some of them before he let Warrior have at it.

Nightshade chuffed. Of course it was!

Jeremiah laughed and got into all the hard to reach places, and even pulled some of the very loose and very annoying baby spines off.

Mellon chirped eagerly and wriggled a little. Yes yes yes yes!

Warrior dove into his grouse and the feathers went flying!!

Pat giggled and let Nightshade go first.  "it looks like we're late.  Warrior had breakfast already."

Erika purred happily as she held still and let him do as he wanted.  So good!  SO good!!

Tithenor chuckled.  "I'm sorry I have nothing to feed you, Mellon.  Will you please go to the rookery?  I'm sure Jeremiah is there and will feed you."

Luke laughed and waved at Pat. "Good morning!"

Nightshade went straight into the forest. She knew just what she wanted for breakfast.

Jeremiah smiled. Once done, he just scratched and rubbed Erika everywhere.

Mellon chirped. All right, but then he was coming right back here! He jumped off of the bed and headed for the door.

"Good morning, Luke!" Pat called in return, waving to him.

Erika's spines were fully spread out as she keened in ecstasy.  SO GOOD!!

"Take care," Mellon smiled.

(Mellon smiled? XD And Mellon spoke? Talented dragon! And yes, I am only doing this as payback lol)

Luke jogged over to Pat to show off his new inventions. He explained it as basically a mini crossbow that he could aim, fire, and reload single handedly.

Jeremiah laughed. He only stopped when he saw Mellon. "Hold on, Erika. Gonna feed Mellon, and then I'll scratch you some more, okay?"

(I've messed up so many names so many times, I knew eventually I was going to miss one!)

"How are you going to keep the string from catching on your sleeves or shooting your own hand?" Pat asked, curious.

Erika shook herself as though in a daze.  She flopped down, purring.  Okay.

(Lol I know the feeling XD)

Luke smiled. "Well first, it's entirely spring based. The string is solely there to help keep the bolt in place while aiming. As far as not shooting my own hand, there is a locking mechanism that makes the weapon unshootable if my hand if in the danger zone." He explained. he pointed to each part as he explained it.

Jeremiah laughed and got some fresh meat for Mellon. Mellon froze and ate it before the dragon bounded back over to his rider. Jeremiah rubbed Erika's belly next.

"That looks easy to jam," Pat said critically, looking it over.  "And touchy.  I guess if you can take the time to learn it, more power for you, but I think I'll stick with the good old long bow."

Tithenor was waiting patiently for Mellon, though his patience was growing thinner the more he was stuck in this bed.

Erika flopped over and started squirming under Jeremiah's hand.  YES!!!

Luke smiled. "All right. If you want, I can try and make special arrows that always fly super straight." He offered.

Mellon bounded back to Tithenor, prepared to shower his rider in unbridled love and affection.

Jeremiah smiled and rubbed her belly in all her favorite ways and spots.

"That would be great to see, but not for me," Pat smiled, shaking her head.  "That is really cool, though.  Good job!"

Tithenor hugged Mellon, returning the affection whole heartedly.

Erika finally rolled over, shaking herself.  That was good, but she was done.

Luke smiled.

Nightshade returned with a young deer. The meat would be tender, and the pelt would make a pretty and soft fur thing!

Jeremiah smiled. "I'm going to get breakfast for me and Tithenor then, and after that I'll be back, okay?"

Pat's eyes widened.  "How are you going to eat all of that?"

Erika chirped.  She would wait!

Nightshade purred. She would eat some, and the rest could be fore Erika tomorrow!

Jeremiah smiled and made his way over to the mess hall, whistling to himself.

"Thank you, Nightshade. There is enough there to feed you both tomorrow," Pat said, amused. "Alright, give me a hand dragging iit back."

"Good morning!" boomed the head chef. "Just you this morning?"
