Howl:

Micheal head deep into the woods, the quite here, didn't eat at him as much, there was all ways the tiring of some woodland critter, and no he hadn't quite lied, there was a problem with bandits, and he was about to go and meet with one of the men stationed to patrol the castle grounds, why simply for the distraction and because he just couldn't at this moment in time, be any ware near that sodding castle.

The king was having one of his better days, sitting up in bed, and like his mike he too liked to read, though his book was more on war tactics of old

The castle and its shadows, its silent halls, bore down on the princess wandering its halls alone, threatening to swallow her in its misery.

Radar:

Gabriel smiled a little, comforted his father seemed to be on an upswing. He had enjoyed learning more combat and strategy than sitting still and reading quietly. Perhaps he had a type of restless, attention disorder, but he could always sit still and listen if his father read anything to him and his brother. Gabriel lightly rapped on the door frame, quietly asking the king permission to enter.

Howl:

The kings voice was barely much of a whisper, to what is use to be, but it got people's heads still turning and doing his bidding non the less and he simply said " enter" though this made him cough a bit.

The castle's quite continued to eat at itself bare down and threaten too consume any ware word soul who dare dwell with in its walls.

Radar:

Gabriel entered and sat in the chair next to his father's bed. It felt warmer in this room, and more alive than the rest of the castle right now. "You are looking much better today, father." Gabriel commented with a small smile. "A princess came today, bearing a letter that you summoned her. Something that began with an 'N', I do believe."

Howl:

The king looked at his son from over his book " Ah that one, the Princess, um ah... We will go with N..." he coughed " tell her she can leave, and to send her sister over... she wasn't the one " he coughed " I wanted to come, she's to quite and I can never remember her name." he said coughing again. then smiling softly " shame he is pretty."

The castle had no prejudice against anyone, and wouldn't rmember anyone's name, it was a castle, but if castles could remember names hers would be forgotten by every stone.

Micheals walk was rather long, and rather pleasent, the prior spook he had felt for his home eased and left him not jittery and jumpy as before but at least clamer though he did wan't to punch his brother's face in.

Gabriel nodded. "Of course, father." He hesitated. "Would you like me to summon some water for your cough?" He offered. Gabriel did honestly enjoy being with his father, and merely wanted him to get better again. It wasn't the same castle without him tromping through the halls.

Layla struggled and cried out as the bandits easily overpowered her and tried to force themselves on her. She was the daughter of a lesser noble, but had curling, honey blond hair and hazel eyes, and to go with her fair skin, she was a rare beauty in these parts. She continued to struggle though, although it mostly just riled up the bandits into more of a frenzy to her woe, especially when one of her boobs slipped out of the corset she was wearing in her struggle

The shadows of the castle devoured the no named N chick.

The king coughed " I did invite a princess i hope she comes soon " he said sighing " I am not getting any younger " he teased " and I am not going to live forever you know."

Micheal's walk was brisk, but he made it to the edge, of the woods, on the other side, the feild stretched to join with the road.

Gabriel smiled a little, but the light didn't reach his eyes, and the smile faded quickly as he looked down. "I know." he said softly. Gabriel still wanted his dad to get better, and to live many, many more years.

Layla yelped and whimpered as one bandit slapped her hard enough the girl saw stars before fondling her now exposed breast. She tried to get away, but another caught the girl and held her roughly in place while the leader undid his pants.

The king smiled " its all right, son, I am a fighter you know, and the thought just occord to me, prehaps I would have the will to fight harder seeing my sons start little families." he laughed " and the castle won't be so ungodly quiet." he coughed.

Micheal heard and saw, and barrelled in brandishing a very long stick, beating them over the heads, using it like a sword, and snatching the sword one of the bandits had used it instead of his branch.

That made Gabriel smile a bit more genuinely. "I'm holding you to your word then." He said, more warmth in his voice now. "You raised me, so you know as well as I do that it will be a challenge finding a woman who can deal with my impulsiveness."

Layla managed to give Micheal a desperate and pleading look before the lead bandit swore and snatched her, putting the sharp edge of a knife to her throat, threatening to cut Layla if Micheal didn't back off. Layla froze in terror, very aware of her hammering pulse beneath the steel.

The kings smile was from ear to ear and he said with a twinkle in his eyes " Oh, I know." he chuckled and then teased " the only question is will you keep up with her, your brother is another matter, " he laughed a bit coughed heavily but lifted his tea to his lips and drank deep " I figured tackle the Challenge first, all I have to do is invite a pretty face, with soft curves, and just enough sense to be quiet and your brother will melt like pudding." he grinned now from ear to ear, " You know I all ways like a good challenge first and hilarity after." he grinned. Coughed and sighed.

Micheal yawned " really now, my brother is Gabreal Dracul who do you think has been the brunt of his sparing matches since I was old enough to hold a sword, you'd be smart to drop the girl and run screaming before I cleave your head clean off with out a second thought." he flipped the sword to his other hand making as if this was nothing more then childs play.

Gabriel smiled and laughed too. It was good to see his father smile. It was the kind of thing that always made him feel better. "Micheal is easier to predict." He agreed. "Out of curiosity, did you have anyone we'd know in mind for him?"

The bandit hesitated just long enough to recognize the prince's clothing for what he was and quickly barked orders for everyone to retreat. They left everything, including the gasping lady. Layla was in too much of an adrenaline high to realize she was incredibly indecent in front of royalty at the moment, just thankful to be alive and unharmed, other than maybe some bruising later.

The king thought for a moment " Why are you courious, I would be more courious as to what i invited over for you, I do have a long list, but this one's my top pick." he smiled " as for your brother I am sure its only a matter of time, before he dreamily falls in love with a book and wishes to marry it." he said smiling he loved both his sons dearly, and he would teas them both, " you I am still betting on falling head over heals for some good quality shiny sword.... but got to try with actual females first before I am consided that I will have to just adopt more children."

Micheal cleared his throat, and offered the over coat he was waring, " ah Miss, you are um.." he said getting redder.

That made Gabriel laugh. "Maybe Mike will just marry the whole library." He teased his brother. "As for me, I haven't found a sword that met my standards yet." He loved moments like this with his dad; just times they talked about nothing in particular, other than light conversation to smile over.

Layla finally realized what was wrong. She accepted the coat and once decent enough, she did her best to curtsy. "Th-thank you, your majesty. For, ah, s-saving me, and the coat. I promise I will return it when I can."

Mike smiled " why don't you and all of your things, spooked and frantic horse, come with me up to the castle, you can stay there, and write whoever it was you were trying to visit." he smiled warmly " then you won't have to return my jacket, and we can see to having you properly escorted to your destination, as well as calming your poor frantic horse, and I am sure you would love a nice hot meal, bed, and please don't call me that, Mike's fine.. so is Michele, hey I have a book you can borrow, and the occasional, No no that twin the other one."

The king laughed, " oh we can't have that, he will have to be a respectful man and marry one book only... what will the neighbors think otherwise." he smiled " oh well, there can't be a sword for every lad as fine as your dads." he teased, " but you can't have Onna, she's kinda my first love." he coughed for a good 7 seconds and down'ed more tea " I got to hand it to Mix, this tea sooths this cough more then anything else."

Layla smiled a little. "I would be honored, yo-Micheal." She said gratefully. She was indeed truly thankful. She moved about and started to gather her things, and hoped that the horse would calm a bit in the spanse of time it would take her to repack everything. She never had been very good with spooked horses.

Gabriel laughed. "Probably think Mike was mimicking one of those far east kingdoms, where they regularly marry multiple women." He shook his head. "Admittedly, Onna is the best sword I have seen, but I have no intentions of taking her from you." Gabe smiled at his father. "A man a lot like you once told me that each man must find their own perfect sword for themselves, if not make one."

Mike eased the horse easy enough, he was good with animals, mostly horses, and he pet the head of hers waiting patiently for it to calm, enough for him to begin helping her, he smiled as he loaded the rest of her luggage and grinned, helping her to her horse, and started leading it through the woods, which was easy, and it was faster, coming to a stop at the castle.

The king laughed his eyes bright " well I hope to meet that man some day." he grinned " though I some times wonder if I shouldn't remarry nagging sensation at the back of my head and all."

Layla smiled and graciously thanked Micheal again. She dreaded to think what would have became of her if he hadn't come along. Certainly her family name, for one! On that note, she secretly wondered how shocked her father would be to learn that one of the princes saved her, and she would be spending a night at his castle. "Micheal?" She asked softly after a moment. "You mentioned books earlier. Do you like to read?"

Gabriel grinned back. "Perhaps we can have a triple wedding then." He suggested. "Wouldn't that be grand!" He knew no woman would probably replace their mother, but Gabriel would be more than happy if his father found love again.

Mike smiled " Oh I love books... " he smiled " you like to read, well, you can stay till you have read the entire library but that might take you ten years." he teased. Smiling he had men cart her stuff in, and also had one tend her horse. He smiled " come on, I have to let father know first, or he might wonder why some girl is roaming around, to who you were invited by and get a bit exicted." he teased.

The king shook his head " that would be rather amusing, to say the least, no I think its best you we all if we wed pick different days, that way we drag out the feasting" he grinned, from ear to ear and drank some more tea,t he color in his face a bit more lively.

Layla blushed prettily, but seemed happy at the idea. "I do enjoy reading, although my father wishes I picked a more 'womanly' hobby like sewing or piano playing." She looked around, having not realized that the palace was even more grand and beautiful inside the walls and ramparts than it looked from the outside.

Gabriel grinned. "I like that idea much better." He laughed. "All we need is three willing women now!"

He grinned a rare sight these days his smile.

The king snorted " Oh yes, first we need to start shaking all the books and hope one falls out for your brother, and your lady has to show up, and mine i guess we could add water to vegitable patch and see if one springs up?" he teased. drinking more of the tea " and lets see, oh yes, then the trouble of winning said ladies over."

"I am Lady Layla Bylu." Layla said, curtsying just a little. She smiled, deciding she kind of found the prince charming, in his own endearing way.

Gabriel couldn't help but laugh. He hadn't laughed or smiled so much in the past couple of weeks. It felt good, and he hoped many more days like this were to come.

The king blinked looking at the woman exchanged a look with gabe and said " How hard did you shake the book son?"

Layla curtsied politely to Prince Gabriel and the king, being as respectful as possible. She remained quiet as the men spoke, as was proper of ladies to do.

Gabriel swatted his brother's hand away quite hard actually, glaring at Micheal. he looked back at his father in surprise when he realized what exactly was going on. "I didn't know Micheal was strong enough to even shake a book that hard."

The king burst out laughing " sure son you lady can stay as long as she likes, and no I am fine... just a joke between me and gabe you know the sword junkie... " he grinned then winked at gabe " see son when your as good as your father, women will just fall out of the sky."

Layla shook her head. "I am guessing they are alluding to something before we walked in." She told Micheal honestly.

Gabriel lost it, and nearly fell out of his chair laughing. The image of his bookwormish brother taking this pretty lady to his room to do the deed so soon after meeting was side splitting to him for whatever reason.

Layla smiled and curtsied to the king again. "Thank you for your hospitality, your majesty." She said politely. Probably unnecessary, but she felt it would be wise to be proper unless told not to be.

The kings heafty bellow of a laugh echo'd throught he halls, as his one sun laughed, and his other stood rather perplexed " Remind me Miss Layla, to not drink any of the tea Mix makes for me." he said smiling " I fear they have lost their minds." he smiled taking her arm " I will show you the library after you change into somehting that isn't torn." he said smiling, as he lead her out.

The king laughed " he's taking her to the library, close enough, " he snorted " I can see how that courtship is going to go, have you read this book, no?
