Vampire, er, was it Vampeer?

Layla smiled and gladly walked with Micheal through the halls. "Your father seems like a good man." She commented after they left. "I know he is a good king, but I am glad to know that carries over too." She said in appreciation. "And thank you again, Micheal, for rescuing me and taking me here. I am indebted to you."

"Now the question is, what book will they recite?" Gabriel asked between fits of giggles. "Some dirty romance or something with whatever it's called. Where you say one thing, but really mean something else."

The king chuckled " what day is it anyway son, and how are things been going, I know we have a bandit problem as Mike has been keeping an eye on that, apparently I have heard from men he's taken with him, they run afraid of your brother, which worries me. Its the quiet ones and the ones you wouldn't expect to snap that do."


Mike lead her to her room " I will wait right out here Milady " he said with a charming smile " this is your quarters, and it seems mine is just on the other side of this hall, so if you need anything or wish not to be alone, as this castle can swallow people whole in its silent ever ominous quiet."

"Thursday." Gabriel replied, and told him the date as well. "I haven't heard much more news on the bandit problem, other than they are stalking closer to the castle than normal. I was almost tempted to go riding today and see what I could do on that front."

Lalya bowed a little in thanks and slipped into her room. She fixed her dress, and even found a brush and things to freshen up and make herself prettier again. Now feeling like she was more in order. Layla nodded to her reflection and went back out to the hall to meet Prince Micheal with a smile.

MIke looked like he was about to leap out of his skin. Turned to face her and smiled brightly holding out his arm " shall we give you the grand tour of our library?" he asked quiet pleased with himself.

Barbados counted on his fingers for bit tapped the back of his hand and then ran his hand down his face, something the king did when he was thinking and then grinned wide " and I am guessing since I have had lunch... that its later in the day... so that means My dear boy, Some one should be here with in the hour give or take." he grinned like the devil " now then... if she chews you up and spits you out, I warned you."

Layla smiled and gladly accepted his arm. "It would be an honor and a pleasure." She said honestly. "I imagine you have many wonderful books in it. Which kind are your favorite?"

Gabriel raised a suspicious eyebrow. "Is she a swordsmaster?" He asked. "I thought we were out of tutors for me in our kingdom."

Barbados smirked " Oh, she's a master boy, be careful, she's ripped more still beating hearts out of men half your measure, then any man alive... did I mention she's a bit of a tomboy, and my dear son... " he gave him a wicked wink " Not shook out of a book. Though it wouldn't surprise me if she stepped out of some warrior maiden fantasy novel." he grinned " oh dear, better hurry and wait for her, she doesn't tolerate, late people."

Mike smiled, and blushed a bit " fantasy... fiction, I like romances." he smiled wondering if the pretty girl next to him would honestly like the idea of him kissing her, some time, he smiled " would you like to pick a book, and come out with me in the gaurden we can sit on the swing, and read till it gets dark." he asked

Gabriel was more than a bit confused now (Micheal might jest that Gabriel's sword is sharper than Gabriel himself), but nodded. "I will come by again tomorrow at the latest." He promised his father before he left and jogged through the oppressive halls towards the front courtyard. Was this wild sounding woman really a noble his father wrangled in to try and wed him?

Layla smiled. She felt her heart tug a little for this gentle and bookwormish prince. He was very sweet, and she liked that. "I think that sounds very lovely." She smiled as she got an idea. "Perhaps I can read to you? I was on my way to my cousin's and her kids love it when I read for them, and my mother says I have a lovely reading voice." She offered.

Barbados chuckled and finished his tea.


Mike smiled " I would like that, but you might get me to fall asleep." he said " its nice that you like children, I like them myself, I use to go into the village, and help the aging teacher there, teach kids to read, but that all changed when I got older, and the teacher saddly passed, the new teacher doesn't need any of my help."

She road, like man, waring the clothing a young prince would ware, though with a female touch to it that oddly made the out fit girly, though she did ware dresses, she didn't riding, and she cared not who thought poorly of that she road her horse up to the prince who was now waiting dismounted and gave a bit of a short bow " I am princess Milly of Gravelion " she said grinning " since you don't have a book, and have an odd look on your face I would imagine your gabe." she said smiling wickedly " would you be interested in a duel later, " she winked.

Layla smiled kindly. "That is incredibly sweet of you to do. My cousin's family is falling on hard times, so I visit them when I can and take care of their children." Layla smiled a bit more shyly. "And what if I do put you to sleep by reading?"

Gabriel didn't know what to think, and it kinda showed. The most he managed to get out was the ever wonderful pick up line of "I don't fight girls."

Milly smiled sexily at him walked right up to him close enough to maybe kiss him and then says in a sexy little voice " Oh good, I so love a man I can break." she said before walking past him and into the castle " don't fret King barbados gave me instructions on how to get to him, as he figured you would be, how to put it, dumb founded."

Mike paused blushed " I guess you will just have to either wake me or play with my hair to pass the time.." then looked at her " and what if I were to fall asleep with my head in your lap?" he said looking at her intently.

Gabriel frowns and catches up to her, seeming to find a challenge. "Hold up. Please let me be a gentleman and take you to my father." He would now strive to break her expectations if he saw a chance to.

Layla smiled and blushed. "Then I may be tempted to do something like this." She said softly before leaning in and kissing Micheal's cheek ever so lightly.

Milly laughed " keep up little boy, and I might make you a man just for the fun of it." she smiled winking at him " come on now, don't want me to walk my little self all down the spooky halls do you." she sent him a wink over her shoulder " hot stuff."

Mike blushed his heart racing " well if you do that i might do." he lifted her chin and kissed her rather tenderly on the lips

Gabriel swallowed a little when Milly called him hot, but Gabe strode to match her pace and once beside her, offered the princess his arm. "It can be easy to get lost in the castle, especially nowadays." he told her. "Please allow me to escort you, Princess Milly."

Layla gasped a little, but gladly kissed Micheal back. She was so happy that the Lady was certain that this man would be her one and only, forever and always.

Milly stopped and put a hand over gabs mouth " shh you don't want to disturb them" she hissed seeing the kissing couple further down the hall she winked and breathed in his ear " maybe if you break in nice I might want to do that with you."

Mike deepened the kiss, pulling her closer, but keeping his free hand respectfully round her waist, as his other was in her hair and cupping the side of her face.

Gabe rolled his eyes at his brother, but smiled at Milly as he led her silently past Micheal and Layla. He knocked lightly on Barbados's door frame again to announce his arrival.

Layla lightly wrapped her arms around Micheal's neck and melted into the kiss. She was so happy, and felt strangely more alive than she had been all her life. Micheal was definitely her one and only. She only met him earlier today, but Layla knew, body and soul, that he was the one.

Barbados coughed but managed to say enter first taking some of his freshly brewed tea, the one mix and made he clamed " should have had another cup brewed again right away." he said smiling now, " so..."

Milly smiled " he's tolerable.. " she laughed " nice to meet you Sire."

MIkes mind kinda turned to jelly, he broke the kiss, long enough to catch his breath, his eyes had definatly turned a bit husky, and not being able to help himself kissed her again, this time, much more of a man who wanted something a bit more.

Gabriel frowned at Milly's deduction of him, but stayed quiet on that. "Would you like me to fetch Mix?" he asked his father.

Layla smiled back, a bit breathless, and kissed Micheal back with abandon. She had made up her mind already. If Micheal wanted her, she was already his. No man but Micheal would she ever consider to be hers, and no man but him would she allow call her his own.

Mike panted, as he began to unkown to himself little onw her pin her against the castle wall, his hand sliding a raction of an inch up her waist, damn it he wanted her.

Barbados laughed " no no, I have another cup right here," he smiled " and enough of mix's mix, to last me a while." he smiled " so I hope you enjoy your stay here, and " he smiled " you will meet his twin eventually."

Milly laughed " is he about as tall, a bit book wormish if so." she giggled sitting on the end of the bed " I think I saw him kissing in a lady in the hall, and I wasn't born yesterday or he might just take her." she blushed and giggled " ah, that kind of romance."

Layla held Micheal close. She definitely wanted him too, but was worried she would seem like she was rushing things. She was a lowly noble, and he a prince, after all.

Gabe laughed. "Kissing? More like eating each other's faces. I think your statement earlier will be true, father. I think they will be sharing chambers later today." He sat on the chair beside his father's bed. "So... Milly pretty well challenged me to a duel before I even said three words to her." He told Barbados.

Barabados laughed " it took her that long?" he looked at Milly " your slipping your father is genteling you, sadly what a waist."

Milly laughed " like he can, I might just think lovely gabe here is cute." she purred rubbing up against him " well now, are you jellous, oh dear, what if he gets her pregnate you will be a uncle before a father."

Mike, scooped her up, and began to walk back to his room, it was clear what he had on his mind as he continued to kiss her.

"Eh." Gabriel said. "Just means he'll spread his seed thinner sooner. Besides...." He grinned wickedly at Milly, full of challenge, "I won't sell myself out to someone I just met. They will have to prove that they can handle me at any given time."

Layla was all his, and offered no protest as he held onto Micheal. She kissed him with abandon, and stoked the back of his neck some, down to his shirt collar.

Wondrous thing time, huh? In what seems like no time at all, a lot of time has passed. The good King Barbados was moved to the summer castle to recover more, and while there, someone dun f-ed up and sent a letter back home saying Barbados died. Now, while the king was away, respective couples grew intimate and even tied the knot, and animosity between Micheal and Gabriel only grew, but thus far had only escalated to fist fights. However, despite the brawls, no one had checked the mail yet and heard about the king's "death."

Gabriel was in the arena, using a sword he kinda liked to move all throughout the guard, starting with the weakest and moving through the ranks without pause.

Layla hummed softly as she looked through the many book titles in the library, wondering which to choose next. She wondered what Micheal would recommend, or even what he had or hadn't read yet.

Mike strolled in behind his pretty and new wife, he couldn't figure out how he had managed that one in such short time, he grinned wrapping his arms around her, kissing the soft spot on her shoulder " hello love." he purred againster her skin.


Milly sighed and was the one to check the hawks, the muddied horrid looking letter, who's ink mostly ran, and was illegable, she sighed and seeing her hubby down called " Looks like we got a message from Mix!" eager to have this stupidity over and done with.

Layla smiled and turned to see Micheal. "Hello, handsome." She said happily. Her family had no objections to her marrying Micheal in the slightest. Her father had only wished his daughter a happy and comfortable life, and was more than thrilled to see how happy the prince made Layla.

Gabriel finished the match he was in before the prince sheathed his sword and quickly made his way inside. He knew Mix had gone with Barbados to the summer palace to aid in his hopeful recovery, and he was anxious to hear the news. His father had seemed to get worse just before they left, and investigators and inquisitors found the culprit to have been a chef, but he was long gone now. He caught up with Milly. "Let's go to the library and retrieve Layla and Mikey." There was a fair chance of his brother being there. "Then we can find a good spot to read the letter all together?"

Milly smiled " all right she said " starting to walk towards there, and hoping he met her before they got there.


Mike smiled, kissing her his mind no ware near the books " so, I was thinking.." he said trialing fingers down her back " we could, start ah " he blushed kissing her " not that we haven't been doing all most exactly that, but I kinda want to be a dad... " he trailed off his silly smile lighting his face.
