Dragon Rider Play

"Good morning, Jeremiah. He is awake and waiting," 53 smiled.

Jeremiah smiled and nodded a thanks before he headed back. "Morning, toriaun." He greeted when he saw the elf.

"Fair morning to you, honeg," Tithenor greeted properly.  "Have you brought me breakfast?  Thank you for that."

Pat hung back, waiting for Mark.

Jeremiah nodded and handed Tithenor his plate. "Big day today, huh?"

"Indeed," TIthenor agreed tightly as he took the plate.  "I thank you for your care."

Jeremiah smiled. "After all the time and effort you put into taking care of me? It's the least I could do."

Tithenor nodded, toying with his food more than he ate, his eyes constantly straying to the window.  After a time, he gave up and set the mostly full plate aside.  "Thank you, but I am not that hungry, honeg."

"Nervous?" Jeremiah asked. He ate a little of the food Tithenor didn't No use in letting it all go to waste. "About parents or Headmaster?"

Tithenor glanced at him.  "How did you know about my parents coming?"

"Alistair, in the line for breakfast." Jeremiah said flatly. "And no, I don't plan on leaving your side anytime soon."

Tithenor looked away out the window once more.  "My parents are... I believe the term is old-fashioned?  They do not look well upon humans.  They may insult you while trying to be polite.  I do not wish to see any of you hurt that way, and I do not wish an argument with them.  Not now."

Jeremiah laughed. "You're forgetting I'm used to being yelled at, abused, and name called before I got here. I have pretty thick skin when it comes to insulting me genuinely. I might be sarcastic and snarky back, unless you think that'd be a bad idea."

"Please do not," TIthenor said softly.  "It is my hope to make it through this trial alive.  After all, I am on trial for murder.  That will be a difficult thing in of itself.  If we have extended exposure to my parents... Then you have my permission to be yourself."  He almost smiled.  "I think it will be good for my father."

Jeremiah smiled and nodded. "Should I change to look presentable?" He asked.

"Please," TIthenor agreed.  "I should, as well.  Will you please ask Patrick to come help me?"

"Aye-aye, sir." Jeremiah said with an affirmative salute before he headed out to change and send Pat in. Jeremiah also left the plate in case he got hungry, right next to the elf figurine he forgot yesterday.

Pat came in and helped Tithenor change.  The clothing itself took a while since they had to be careful of every move, but what took them the most time was the hair.  Tithenor talked her through the process, and an hour later she finally finished.  It looked so easy and carefree, and yet the loops and waves were so incredibly intricate and perfect!

Jeremiah returned partway through Pat doing Tithenor's hair. He was in the same suit he had to wear to the Hatching Ceremony, which he kept really nice in case an occasion like this rose again where he needed to be presentable. Jeremiah's hair was brushed even, which made the tousled, pale blond locks look soft and wispy.

Pat didn't notice Jeremiah's entrance, focused on her work as she tried to work in the beads in the specific order Tithenor instructed.

Erika followed Jeremiah, going to greet Mellon when they entered the room.

Jeremiah sat down and looked over the elf statue critically again before he picked it up and started to etch careful details into her.

Mellon chirped and greeted his friend happily. His rider looked great!

Nightshade was too busy preening and repreening her feathers to notice Erika. Everything had to be perfect!

Pat finished and sat back.  "There!"
"Thank you, Patrick," Tithenor said, looking at it in the mirror.  "That is perfect."
"Thanks!" Pat said, beaming.  She glanced at Jeremiah and did a double take.  "Wow.  You look really nice, Jeremiah!"

Erika drew herself up, churring.  She knew it, and she was proud of her rider!

Jeremiah smiled. "Thanks. You look really good too." he complimented genuinely. "And good work making Tithenor look better than us common folk."

"Thank you," Pat smiled.  "It's harder than it looks, I found out.  Blue here takes more primping and preening than a human girl."
"Indeed, and I am sure you would know all about the preening habits of young females," TIthenor said dryly, smoothing his shirt.
Pat just winked at Jeremiah when Tithenor wasn't looking.

Jeremiah just laughed. He found the whole thing hilarious. He wondered how Tithenor would react in knowing how true that statement actually was.

Tithenor glanced between them mystified, then froze as he heard the beating of heavy wings.  He turned to look and saw Nexus landing with the Headmaster astride not far from the Medical Ward.  A second dragon landed then a third, each bearing an elf.  One female, one male, both of regal stature.  They were stunning beyond words, and when they walked, they seemed to glide as though the very ground was unworthy of their footfalls.
