DT Serum, Primary Testing In Progress

"And that was the lowest tier..." Layla chuckled huskily. She stretched a bit herself before she went over to her things to find clothes to wear for the day. She would have to do laundry soon, she noted.

"Plans for today?" Lex asked, brushing his hair.

"Not really." Layla replied. She tugged off her shirt and pulled a clean one on, and did the same for a comfy pair of yoga pants before she started to brush her own hair. "And yourself?"

"I'm getting cabin fever.  I'm going out," Lex said bluntly.  There was no invitation in his tone.  Not to be rude, but after being stuck in a house with people constantly, he desperately needed space.

Layla nodded. "All right. I might do laundry then. Anything you want cleaned before you go?"

Lex glanced around.  "Anything on the floor.  Call me if I'm needed."  He headed downstairs.

Layla nodded and started to gather stuff up to get washed.

Ashton nodded to Lex when he came down.

"All good?" Lex asked as he headed for the front door.

"So far." Ashton reported.

"I'm out.  I'll see you later, yeah?" Lex said, shrugging into his coat.

Ashton nodded. "Have fun. And thanks."

"Yep," Lex said calmly, walking out the door.

After a bit, Layla came downstairs and made breakfast for herself, more or less forcing Ashton to eat too.

Chris opened his eyes at the smell of food.  "Where am I?" he mumbled groggily.

(Sorry! There was no internet and no cell service at the cabin we were staying at D: )

Ashton smiled a little. "The downstairs living room. You fell asleep on top of Bobo. Layla is making breakfast."

Chris gave a huge yawn.  "Breakfast?" he asked, looking uncertain.

Ashton smiled a little. "Layla will make something that won't upset your belly."

Chris relaxed a little.  "Okay.  I trust you.  Will you help me up?"

Ashton nodded and gave Chris a hand up. "What is your favorite food?" He asked curiously.

Chris started to answer then hesitated.  "I.... don't remember," he admitted, his cheeks turning pink.  He ran a hand through his hair, trying to pull it back out of his eyes.

Ashton smiled sympathetically. "If it makes you feel any better, I cant really either. As far as actual food normal people should eat."

"I think it's cool you can eat meat like that.  You get to have a whole other taste realm thingy," Chris said, leaning on Ashton.

Ashton looked away a bit, but remained steady for Chris. "Sure, but then I can only eat that, even if I don't want to. Sometimes just smelling cooked food makes my stomach turn."

Chris considered this then shrugged.  "I wouldn't mind trying raw meat, and sometimes fried foods make my belly hurt.  But never mind.  Food is food, right?  All it is is a way to keep body and soul together."

"I suppose so." Ashton agreed as they reached the dining room table. Layla set a bowl of chicken noodle soup that was more broth than anything else, and a plate of raw bacon in front of Ashton.
