It was clear that they were not any longer in the world they were born in.

A guy hung over a chest moaned as he came too, took five seconds to register in his gaze and exclaimed with utter gusto ' Crap."

another boy sat in the middle of the room just in total awe, before whining softly the names of the other three they were with. One of which the guy who was hung over the chest's girlfriend.

Layla groaned and sat up. She looked around and counted. One... two... three.... four, and five. They were all together at least. She stood and brushed herself off. A few scrapes, but otherwise she was fine. "You guys okay?"

Stan nodded. "Yup. You?"

Layla nodded. "Allison?"

Allison pushed herself up and coughed. "Yeah." She said in a raspy voice. She had been winded, and the dust sure didn't help. She managed to stand and went over to her boyfriend. "Babe? Are you okay?"

Gavin sighed " Ya, I think I am fine... if anyone was wondering." he said sitting still in the middle of the room " ware in hell are we?'

Drake shook his head " Define Ok?" he asked his girl friend in a tone that lead on that he might have had the wind knocked out of him. saying something un-audible under his breath.

"How the hell do I know?! I thought you were the one with the map and compass and GPS, numbnuts!" Layla snipped at Gavin moodily. She sighed. "Sorry. No, I don't know where we are. Which cryptid were we trying to chase after again? Maybe that will give us a hint..."

Allison gently helped Drake up. "Broken ribs, or just winded?" She asked worriedly.

Stan scoffed. "You two are so lovey dovey. I'd say 'get a room,' but we're already in one it seems..."

Gavin growled standing up, " no dumb idiot, look up." he said pointing to the fact there was no roof to the room they were in, and were actually staring at a purple ish sky " So let me restate this, ware in hell are we?"

Drake shook his head " just winded, " he looked at gavin " you done over reacting, ok, who was the Crap head who insert the proper F bomb here. this up?" he said grinned " show of hands stan."

"Hey!" Stan said indignantly. "It was your idea to go hunting for this cryptid tonight, Drake."

Layla raised her hand. "And who forgot half of our equipment, Stan?"

Allison was distracted by studying the chest Drake had landed on. Maybe her minor in Anthropology could come in handy to figure out where at least the chest came from...?

Drake rolled his eyes " that was Gavin, you would have known that Stan, if you weren't 38 minuets late." he sighed rolling his eyes " now were stuck in an alternate dimension... Enjoy bull shittery."

Gavin nodded " ya it was me... " he trailed off then shook his head " but the blame can go on Stand for everything, All in favor? "

Stan frowned and complained and griped on how they already blamed him for everything.

Layla merely raised her hand again and looked around. Different dimension? "Hey Drake? If we're in an alternate dimension... do you think we can even get back? And which one are we in even?"

Allison looked to see about opening the chest. Maybe there was something inside that could help?

Drake hissed " what makes me the one with the answers?" he shrugged " its as plain as the sky above us, were in a new realm, and no babe, we do not want to open the chest... we need to figure out ware in this place we are exactly... " he said " more or less get out of the room... were in... because the fact it looks like rain, at least the green blobs I think are clouds, and there is no roof.."


Gavin sighed " shut it Stand.... ok, no one is hurt? "

Drake " except my ribbs."

Gavin " ok, so hurt badly?"

Allison nodded and backed away from the chest. She moved about as she looked for a viable, and preferably unlocked, exit from the room.

Layla frowned and went over to Drake she poked about his ribs for a while before he backed away. "Just bruised. One or two may be cracked, but nothing you won't live from.

Drake hissed " Ouch... " then paused " hey why is she poking me in the ribs, and my girl friend is wondering around a room? " he sighed " She simply doesn't care, I have a boo boo." he sighed " oh well.. I will sulk later."

Gave snorted, standing up and dusting himself " and no one cares if I have bruised shins.... Stand you got bruises not that anyone cares, we do wish your jaw was broken.... complains a lot."

Hearing that made Stan complain.

Allison jogged back over. "Babe, I found a door." She said with a smile. "Should we see where it leads or no?"

Layla huffs. "Sorry, Drake. You're more like a brother to me than a potential man anyway."

Drake shrugged " no skin off my nose sis, but ah, what about Gavin he don't look to hot.." he said whispering in layla's ear " He likes to cuddle... " then to his girl friend, " babe, ribs hurt... so lets go through the door slowly Kay... I don't feel like running for my life, or tripping into an Infante space whole to fall for all eternaty... or... something... you know I watch to many old movies."

Gavin nodded " ya... Since no one cares, and I am all ready walking slowly I will check." he said getting up " besides leader of said group, Stan if you don't stop bitching and start doing something useful I will gut you myself." he said sighing. Opening the door " ok, out side... a road... trees a house ... lamp post... were in an old shed... looks familure... Drake don't you live some ware around here? " he said cocking his head " all though trees seem to be blue... "

Layla nodded. She usually was a snuggly person, but Stan and this whole situation made her moody. She walked over to Gavin to peer out too, putting a gentle arm around Gavin as she did so. "It almost reminds me of a nightmare scene. You know, how things seem somewhat normal, but there is a general 'off' vibe about it?"

Stan shut his mouth for the most part. "You think it's safe to move? I mean, we're safe in here as long as we don't draw attention to ourselves, right?"

Allison nodded and gently held Drake's hand, giving it a small squeeze. She was scared, but covered it up pretty damn well.

Drake sighed " no, lets go and explore. We kinda want to go home right? " he looked at everyone " so lets figure it out, and go the hell home."

Gavin looked at layla " ya... its kinda insert the proper F bomb here. weird if you ask me>"

( no I have plans for Drake.. one of the girls can or I can make a girl they meet up with later who's actually been missing... and here she's been here the whole time, and she finds jacks box )

Allison nodded. "Let's try to cover as much ground as possible then." She suggested. She followed Drake's lead, and glared at Stan as he grumbled and griped about the situation.

Layla hugged Gavin's arm. "I don't like it." She said in a quiet voice. This place freaked her out, and she was more than happy to stick close to Gavin for a while.

Drake nodded " if in fact this world is like ours, then we should find clues the closer we get to the old school, " he sighed " speaking of which, I did manage to purchase the old building... so... there is that."

Gavin sighed " if we get back, then we will celebrate all right..." he said " ok everyone stay close to one another, and we walk in a tight group, who knows whats in these parts."

Stan rolled his eyes. "Probably every cryptid known to man and then some. But don't worry. They only want to give us all hugs and birthday cake." He said sarcastically.

Allison smiled a little. "The same one that supposedly is full of paranormal activity?" She asks.

Layla nodded, still holding Gavin's arm. "Don't have to tell me twice. What if we tried to get to the school in 'jumps?' Like plan to go so far before stopping, resting, and taking inventory of what's going on, before heading to a new area?"

Gavin shook his head " actually lets do pin point destinations, so far I know drake lives near here, so lets go to what would be HIS house... from there we can gather things, like maybe a map or just get our barings." he shook his head " last thing we want to do, is you know, get our selves looking weird."

Drake snorted " good plan, but ah, can I point out, the door across the street is opening. So lets stay poot."

Layla backed up from the door some, still gripping Gavin's arm. "I don't want to meet whatever lives here..." She murmured.

Allison gently hugged Drake. "Wonder how weird we can manage to look." She thought aloud softly. "I could do makeup possibly. If I have latex as well, I could even change textures on yout skin to make it weirder."

Stan grumbled softly to himself.

Drake's eyes narrowed as a paper flapped in the wind and he snatched it, holding it up he sighed " looks like Arabella is missing here too.. what was it three years now?" he asked holding the flyer and giving his girl a tight squeeze " nah, I don't think we need to look weird." he chuckled.

Gavin bit his lip, " what ever it is its peeking at us through a crack in the door." he said then cocked his head " it looks like its coming out of the door, any Ideas what to do?"

Stan looked around for something to use as a weapon. "Drake and Gavin can throw that chest at whatever it is." He suggested.

Layla wished now that she had brought her hunting knife. At the time, she thought it was overkill, so she just had her trusty pocket knife. Now she wished she had reconsidered that.

Allison frowned. "Not many options in here..."

Oh come on. Jack griped to Arabella from his box. Just let me out already! I could break the door and make them surrender easily and you know it! What he didn't say was he planned on making them surrender by breaking all the bones in their body and then filling their lungs with roaches.

Arabella sighed " jacky wacky, last time I let you out it was to cuddle, and you were a big meany." she rolled her eyes " so no... " she said coming out and darting across the street.

Drake spotted her first, " ITS Arabella? " he said double checking the flyer " NO stand bad stan... "

Gavin relaxed then and Called " HEY! Its Gavin, remember you were in my Chem Class three years ago?" he said

Arabella beamed " GAVIN AND DRAKY WAKY!"

Drake inwardly and out wardly growned.

Jack yelled profanities at her from his box. She had no idea how uncomfortable it was in here! And on top of that, he wasn't a cuddly and happy person in general. The only reason he did anything she said and didn't kill her was the laws he had to follow, and she had his box.

Layla relaxed. She remembered the girl. She was a little strange to her, but she never hated Arabella, and always got along well enough with her. Layla went over and opened the door and invited her in.

Allison looked confused and curious. She had transferred to Drake and Gavin's school two months after Arabella vanished. "Draky waky?"
